what a ride! the second book in the series did not disappoint. and I truly did enjoy the mental health representation in the book! the step sibling trope was better than i expected! who would’ve thought that could be as spicy as it was.

Definitely worth a 3.5 star rating! Third book in the salacious players series, but can be read as a standalone. I love that each of the books has their own “kink” and this didn’t disappoint. Hunter’s character was a little frustrating just because he couldn’t say it out loud what he was, but once he got to the point of realization, it was so amazing to see him explore and really come out of his shell. And how Isabel managed that two month long break

this definitely felt a little darker than the other salacious books I’ve read so far, but not in a bad way. following beau’s story was so eye opening because he was such a main character in praise. so seeing him really transform into the man he is was amazing! maggie was such a great fit for him. and the fact that him and his dad now found some level ground was awesome! reading praise and now mercy, I never would’ve seen beau being a part of this lifestyle! but it was such a spicy transformation for his character and I truly enjoyed it!

This book has been on my tbr for the past year and I’m so glad I finally read it. I’ll start off by saying it was not at all what I expected but it was everything I needed. Such an eye opening emotional read. And it def took me longer to read because it was so heavy.

The story follows the past and present of a mother struggling through parenting. Some of it was due to her family trauma, but some of it was due to her relationship with her child and partner. And while a person can make the choices to move forward through their history, it’s so valid in saying that where and who we come from plays such an important role in who we become.

Motherhood was not what Anne expected. It was not what she envisioned. Her relationship with her daughter was strained from the very beginning. And having a partner that didn’t align with her beliefs and struggles caused so much to go downhill. Her struggling eventually led to her losing her daughter and husband. But all of that fault was not on her. And it was devastating to see everything crumble around her.

I wish there was a happy ending to this book, it never came. Ultimately Anne went through so many downs, resulting in what she thought would happen actually happening with her ex-husband’s new family. And maybe that would be the eye opener he needed to realize she wasn’t wrong all of those years. But the book leaves you with a cliffhanger of what happens next.

Definitely a must read. While there are heavier topics and triggers of parent/family trauma, divorce, separation, loss and death - it portrays such a real story of what some families do go through. And the results of not having support along the way.

this book was so much more than a basic thriller. encompassing the lives of three mothers and three scandals, they all find friendship, sisterhood and answers amongst each other. if you enjoyed big little lies, which I surely did, then you’ll definitely enjoy things we never say! there’s something comforting about having great friends to walk through those life hardships with and bring to light the negative things while piecing together happiness.

A heartbreaking book that truly brings to light child abuse and the effects of an abusive household and parent. This book was so eye opening and devastating. A must read especially for anyone working in child welfare

one of the sweetest romances I’ve read, this book is full of love, trauma healing, understanding and passion.

cassidy and aiden don’t come from riches. they’ve had a hard past, dealing with poverty, substance-using parents, a trailer park, and fighting for survival every day. when cassidy gives aiden the help he needs to get out, she believes he’ll come back for her. but when it seems like he doesn’t, the years pass by and she’s left in the dark to find her way out. fast forward to them being adults now, cassidy finds aiden and makes her way back to him to give him a piece of her mind. but what she doesn’t expect is playing the role of his girlfriend while working for him to keep him grounded through his anxiety and ocd. of course the truth comes out about who she really is, and the question now is if he will forgive her for lying. can he look last her not telling him who she really is and their strong bonded friendship?

this book def has some harder topics to read through, but absolutely worth it.

tropes - second chance romance, found family, mental health representation, rags to riches, fake dating

Such a great thriller suspense! I was skeptical starting this one as I’ve seen so many mixed reviews. But it was sooo good. Following past and present, multiple povs, you really are wrapped into the mystery and suspense of what happened to Ellie. Who is Noelle really? How is poppy such a strange child and even more, what is Floyd’s story. This book really keeps you captivated from start to finish and almost ends on a slight cliff hanger.
