So far into this series, this is my favorite book. The hate was there (not as hateful as I wanted it, but hey, it was just enough to be convincing), the tension was truly felt, the spice was hot as fuck (that very first scene *chef's kiss*), the chemistry between them was genuine and not rushed, and overall it was an enjoyable read.

The downside to this is how predictable some of the plot twists are. I have the same issue with the others, including the third-act breakup, and it's starting to get stale quickly. Hopefully, this last book will change that.

I'm just happy I don't have to read "Alex Volkov" again.

Shout out to Krystolyn Lloyd's narration in the audiobook for it's haunting experience.

I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me tells a gripping villain origin story about a young black girl fighting against a system where talent gets overshadowed by money and politics. With its supernatural twists and turns, the story was able to capture the hardship and unfairness in a world draped in pink tutus and expensive leotards.
