Classic vampire romp but with a sapphic twist. It was so fun to listen to. The main character was insightful while still being jaded by her experience.
Loved the friendship between the women.

Exactly what you expect when picking up a Katee Robert novel. Steamy, sexy, and loved the polyamory representation.
Very hot under the collar while reading!

I enjoyed going back into this world. It’s a bit brutalistic in my opinion but I guess that comes with the territory for a zombie book.
I still don’t know who the boy on the bridge would be but maybe I’m just an idiot?
Loved the nod to the previous book in
the epilogue

I loved this world. Even when I was reading other books, my mind kept bringing me back to Weyward. The magic of the world felt so real and tangible but not fantastical. I felt a kinship with these women that I’ve not felt in many books before.

I loved the story. The world was so well developed and the twists and turns were wild. I also enjoyed the MC not being a typical strong female character but strong in her own way.

It was a good romp of a book. Very camp but I liked it.
I keep reading it like is was just testing to see if I liked it but then I finished the book so still unsure but it was fun.

I literally couldn’t stop thinking about this book. I are it up and loved it. Wish it was longer but then it would have felt too much I think.

I’m never a fan of a
3rd act break up especially with friends
but I’m glad I powered through it to the end as it was satisfying to see the main character work through the issues.

It’s a fresh look at the zombie apocalypse genre.
I found it a bit too fast for me, there are so much critical information that’s missing and plot lines that may have disappeared.
It was zingy and fast paced but I wish there was a bit more info regarding the zombie outbreak cause but otherwise it was pretty good.

I really enjoyed learning all this history about rabies. Such a fascinating subject and was read well by the narrator. Loved learning about the way the political climate affects the horror  genre popularity.

I read a few reviews of this this book and I don’t quite agree with the hate this book gets.

Yes there is an age gap romance but nothing happens between the characters until the youngest is in his 20’s. The power balance works out with
Joe being a Wolf and Ox being human
I think it’s a bit unnecessary to say this is a grooming situation.

Also the female characters are pretty fleshed out. It’s a MLM romance so the female characters aren’t the focus but I think Elizabeth is a strong and complex character and Ox’s mom is fundamental to the MC’s growth as a character.

I would read the rest of the series. TJ Klune has grown as a writer even if his writing is a little white. Would love for some more black and POC characters.
