Ughhhh love a grumpy-ish hockey player with a protective streak. ✨swoon✨ jasper and sloane are so cute together and I loved the journey of them finding themselves within each other. They’re not my fave chestnut springs couple, but their story is so important to the series to really understand the characters. And I love this entire found family and how much they all love one another. 🩵🩵🩵

3.5🌟 my first emily henry book. definitely wasn’t the romance book i was expecting, but i loved seeing the relationship between nora and libby 🥹🩵 i really feel like this more kind of more about the sisters and their story than the romance between bora and charlie. but it was overall enjoyable. i’ll still continue to read other emily henry books, i’ve heard that i may like the others better!

editing to add that after talking to some friend emily henry and this book in particularly reads more as women’s fic than romance, which settles and explains my disappointment in this one. why is it labeled as contemporary romance on the back of the book? 😵‍💫😩 i’ll probably try re-reading it in the future knowing what i know now! 💛

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 omg i LOVED this book! it had me crying and laughing throughout. january & gus were such a treat and i loved her story so, so much. 🥹🩵 a book about an author with writer’s block that swaps genres with her college rival. chef’s kiss. beautiful.
