This brought nothing into my life except for some passable one-liners. I feel the writer bit off more than she can chew, and because of this each part suffered from underdevelopment and one-dimensionality.

I loved and lived the atmosphere of this book, and if you’re fond of magical realism you might like the twist too!

I am in absolute awe of the poignancy and sensitivity of this book. Even though I was expecting it to be a good read I didn’t not expect to feel such depths of pain and understanding of Agnes.

This book was much more difficult than I expected and it will stay with me for a long time. Although it portrays such sadness, O’Farrell’s writing manages to situate it in a forgiveness and hope that washes over the reader like a shower.

Beautiful.

A matter of fact, accessible read from a perspective of a Ukrainian who spent his life analysing the social conflict of his region. Informative, at times inspiring, and insightful. Recommended to anyone really whether you have knowledge on the topic or do not.

A good read, much like the first Wolf Den. I do have a sense that in some ways the writing seems a little bit more sloppy, or perhaps I am a more critical reader now.

It is hard not to fall in love with the women and vibrant characters, as well as the gravitational pull between more complex morals and values of Amara.

Enjoyed it and will wait until November 2023 for the final book in anticipation

My eyes are so swollen and my nose is the size of a tennis ball but LORD would I read this book again and again and again
