The book had potential. I couldn't vibe with the main character. There was something plastic and just surface level with them. I am not sure if the audiobook narration helped either.

There was a moment where the FMC looked under the hood of her car and was looking for the engine. It was a weird moment that I think tried to be funny but fell flat like most of the dialogue and chemistry between everyone.

The MMC had a gun to his head and had to like the FMC. The writing wasn't anything I liked. I liked the concept of a fictional town come to life.

Other than some occasional cheese, this book is what I expect and then some of a book about romantic comedies.

Book is entertaining enough to finish but it gets quite annoying with how the main character thinks illogically.

The FMC is attracted and wants to keep a friendship with a guy she is clearly attracted to. But also when she quickly realizes she has a lot of fun with him and not the others she is dating she doesnt want to look into her feelings with him because of the name of friendship. Everything is very surface level and I don't think Ill be continuing this series. The characters on their own are good but what they do and what they say just isn't worth reading about in my opinion.

The book is way longer than it is suppose to be. Every time the main character thinks they should be together they should back away for the name of friendship. It gets old real fast. It is a very similar vibe to the previous book which wasn't much better for me anyways.

The main characters of book are alright.  The story has good bones but falls very flat, especially the ending. The end did not have nearly enough groveling and the moments between the characters switch up moods a little too unexpectedly.

I know this authors writing has gotten better as ive read her most recent releases. But man was this book a challenge. This is another book where it was entertaining enough to finis but hated some key elements about characters and their actions

The FMC refused to talk about her youtube channel where she discusses her terminal illness but then is blinsided when the MMC doesnt know about it. FMC is angry with how he is coping with it despite knowing he has control issues. She is self aware but not enough to fill in what I think are character plot holes.

MMC is also whip smart but didnt figure out the atomic size hints she kept dropping about dying.

The dialogue with the side characters are unbearable and feel unrealistic.

I can't stress this enough that it bothers me that the FMC never discussed dying with the MMC prior to embarking on a relationship

The characters in this book seem weak to me. The mmc has a gun to his head and his whole personality is loving the fmc. The fmc was fine until 60% of the book.

I read the previous book in this series, and I realize I really dislike the way the friendship is portrayed between the two female characters. They tend to push their friend towards guys and and that is it.  It lacks tact.

I had very high expectations. I did listen to the audiobook mostly but did read the ebook versions at time. The book does get better.
