i love the nightmare’s witty commentary lol elspeth needs to let him out more (y’know if that didn’t result in her literally degenerating)
this is just a pet peeve but i noticed that the author loves describing ravyn’s smirk using the phrase “curled lip” and others of the sort. it caught my eye so many times that it became distracting like OKAY we get it ravyn is mysterious and tough and never fully smiles ever.

it took me a while to get into the story, but the overall premise is really interesting.
i did feel like the plot sometimes dragged on more than necessary, and that some characters were killed off so easily?? afterwards they just moved on and it felt rushed. also the amnesia plot was Very Confusing to me but i feel like that was intentional because at the start we mostly see the world from one point of view.
one more thing, the yearner slash hopeless romantic in me needs more from that ending like i need natasha pulley to expand and explain in detail of their future happiness instead of fading to black bc she’s just put these characters through the wringer 😭
