Spoiler for my third reason pls be advised

Where can I start…I’m extremely sad. This was one of my most anticipated reads of this year and it felt very different from Butcher and Blackbird. First I will say everything I loved about Leather and Lark.
1. I love LACHLAN KANE
2. The banter—the banter between Lark and Lachlan was amazing. It is my favorite part of the book—the swooning conversations.
3. THE WEDDING 🥹🥹🥹
4.  The sex scene 🥵🥵

Now about what I didn’t like.

1. I felt that the hate to love reason was invalid but also it felt dragged. More than half of the book Lark still held the first meeting against Lachlan. In my opinion I didn’t think he needed to apologize because he was there for a JOB. And he repeatedly explained what happened that night.
2. Chemistry/tension—I felt that the chemistry was lacking. In Larks point of views you don’t get much of her liking anything about Lachlan or really sympathizing with him. Sometimes throughout the book it seems forced between them. I love them individually but not as a couple.
3. The relationship between Sloane and Lark—-I mean I have to say this was the most disappointing to me. I felt like the relationship could’ve have been better. One thing I loved the most about BB&B was the relationship between the two. I don’t like that Lark couldn’t confide in Sloane to tell her what was going on but also how it involved her. Even towards the end no type of bonding or even acknowledgement that lark is also a multiple deleter.
4. The plot—I felt the plot was very lost in this process. Abe was completely forgotten about up until the last few pages of the book. The ending was rushed. I think there was so much focused on the back and forth and tension of them being together, that Abe showing up was resolved really quickly.

With that being said—I wish I could love this. I’m super excited for the next book as the end of the book did make me extremely excited for Rose and Fionn.

The beginning of the book started off strong and flows really well.
I did start this series backwards so I won’t judge on being confused about certain details. I really love Lyra—it’s hard to find dark romance where the MFC is unhinged and obsessive.
Thatcher is gold—as always the fighting with himself on his desires for Lyra. This book is definitely a slow but when it comes to him admitting his feelings for her.

THE ENDING!!! The cliffhanger has me immediately starting book 4. I know my unhinged queen will not let anyone take her dark angel away.

Wow…I gave up on self help books for a while especially after reading the body keeps the score years ago but this is such an informative read. I had to pause through some of the story telling—Stephanie Foo made you relate in a way that makes you feel seen and heard. As depicted in her therapy session at the end that really you want to feel seen and heard.

This opened my eyes to new things not only of myself but my preconceived notions of diagnosis. New tactics of how you’ll constantly having to cope.

Grateful for this arc by @chloe_liese @penguinrandomhouse

Where do I start with this book—Only and Forever is the 7th book in the Bergman Series. I started this series out of order(starting with Ollie) and I became obsessed with Chloe’s writing style. Then I went down the rabbit hole of the whole series— This book follows Viggo and Tallulah.
As I was nervous reading this book as my expectations were very high—Chloe never fails my expectations were exceeded. It was a bittersweet experience reading this book, I did not want to finish this series and close the chapter to the Bergman siblings— seeing Viggo and Tallulah navigate their relationship and overcome the perception of love and the pressure they put on themselves(mainly Viggo with his love for romance books). The push and pull of the relationship is written so amazing, it’s hard not to fall in love with their relationship development.

Also all of the Bergman siblings being there and they are so extremely close is something I’ve always loved about each book—they are prefect for each other. I could recommend this for the rest of my life.

Thank you for giving me this arc!!

“I often think of how much love is lost as gay kids grow up. We are robbed of the chance to experience the innocence of early teenage love. Because you spend all that time with fear, mastering your own pretence.”
Wow…..where do I even start. This book is absolutely stunning. The journey of Obiefuna was captivating but also heartbreaking.

This story is about self discovery—growing into the person through experience and struggles that people and the world shape around you.  It also shows how the love of a parent cultivates the relationship that you have with yourself.

“ It’s one thing to love a child, but it’s an entirely different thing for the same child to feel loved. A home is the last place a child should feel conditionally loved.”

Thank you for letting me read this arc!!!

What can I say MRS. KENNEDY RYAN does it again. Anything she writes is absolutely stunning and written with so much care, grace.

This book is my new favorite. I sobbed and I laughed. I was SHOOK and felt the real urge to fight someone (if you know you know). I cherish so much when books have strong female friendships as you never see that but this group of friends feels so loved and wholesome.

What more to than I will recommend this endlessly.

Thank you for let me receive this arc!!!

My initial thought on the book was that it start a bit slow for me but the world building was written well and easy to follow.
I absolutely love that Kenna came into herself and accepted herself. I love for plus size MFC.

The plot and romance aspect did feel a bit rushed to me but I enjoyed it!
