Ok; i give up at page140.
I dun love it as much as the first book, and i just didn't even care what's going to happen to the characters anymore. I gave this a try because the narrator's voice is amazing. But well i fell asleep- It's kinda dull for this book and pretty cliché. So I'm just gonna DNF at 140. I'm gonna try out the Raven boy series And see if i like it or not.

Solid followup but not as good as the first one.

Unlike Catching Fire, this book was Not as good as the first.

1.5/5 stars. Lmao this book is worse than the first one. It is SO repetitive, the characters all suck, and nothing happened until like 6/7 hours in.

All of the characters made HORRIBLY stupid decisions that really didn't make any sense. Their interactions were so frustrating and Sam's singing was so cringe lmao.

WTF were all the "science" things also?? Those were so stupid and wrong.

Also just the writing is so bad.

The audio book readers didn't help anything either. But also if I get desperate for a book in another year I might read the next one since I need to know if they keep being dumb and where the hell she might go with this.

This is going to sound shallow, but a big part of why I started reading these books was the covers. My compliments to the cover artist, well done. A cover is meant to be compelling, and your work did the job. I did read the reviews and the description for the first book, so I really had an interested beyond the cover, but I cannot lie that it did not have great influence.

As for the book . . . this one is just ok.

The first book was all sappy and slow, so I guess I should have expected the same. Oddly, I was thinking this would develop a bigger plot. Didn't really buy the premise so much, but it had its moments.

Oddly, I like the characters of Isabella and Cole better than Sam & Grace. They just seem more real to me. Also, I feel like the teens are way too naive. They are supposed to be almost adults, but read more like barely out of the tweens to me.

Overall, this sequel to Shiver was pretty much the reverse of the first book. There is the introduction of Cole, who provides the fourth perspective along with the previously seen characters, Sam, Grace, and Isabel. Otherwise, we're looking at the same basic story, but reversed (specifics behind the spoiler).
SpoilerInstead of working on Sam going from wolf to human, we're seeing Grace go from human to wolf.
Arguably, this takes place to set up for the third book, but it's not evident in the second, and I'm not sure that it's completely necessary. It does give an excellent opportunity to have drawn-out lovey-dovey dramatics, so if you're into that type of romance, you may enjoy it.

Mostly not that good, except Isabel.

A little disappointed with the ending. I wonder if there will be more to follow.

It was hard to follow the story when the author switches between character point of view so often.

When does Forever come out because I need it NOW!
