A lot of interesting points, and a lot of fluff and repetition. The book could have been losslessly distilled down to half it's length. Rather than the book, read a comprehensive summary.

Absolutely fantastic. It was the audiobook but I want to buy the book now so that I can always come back to it and refresh my memory.

I bought this book on Audible since it was a discount. Turned out it was great. The book provide a lot of practical tips which are backed with biological scientific facts and experiments. There was some ah-ha moments, and I feel relatable here and there through out the book. I was actually interested enough to buy the Kindle edition, so I can review it easier and use these methods to boost my self-control, maybe, in the future...

What an excellent book. I had to read it much faster than I would've liked because it was due at the library and I couldn't renew it but I'll definitely be picking it up again so I can read it while spacing out the chapters to implement the exercises. It was nice learning the science behind procrastination: I recognized things I do in pretty much every single chapter of this and I'm going to try some of her suggestions for overcoming them. Maybe I'll write a review charting how that works out for me in a couple of months? :) 5 stars

I really liked this book; I constantly ran across examples where I was behaving similarly in my own life, and I appreciate the pointers on how to address some of the problems. I'll be keeping this one, and I can see re-reading it in the future to brush up on some of the things I learned.

The only real niggling issue I had with the book was the constant references to "Some studies", "recent research", etc. It got pretty repetitive. Also, I usually think twice when I see references to "some" studies, because it makes me question whether the author is cherry-picking research to support his or her thesis (see Gladwell, Malcolm). Fortunately, the end of the book is filled with references to the actual research mentioned in the book, and although I haven't had the willpower to validate them (see what I did there?), it at least makes me more comfortable that it's legit.

Also, big props to the larger print. It's nice to be able to read without squinting.

Combine this with Girl Wash Your Face and there's NO excuse you won't be motivated to get what you want in life.

Great Book ! Certainly Helpful ! But in the end, it is still us who have to do all the work but getting an insight of how willpower works will obviously help you ! Great work !

How good was this book? I had borrowed it from the library, finished reading it and promptly went online to order my own copy to re-read. Outstanding book. Informative, easy to read, solid ideas to act on. I wish I could take her class!
