Ok that one was on me - I am not a fan of the daddy boy theme but I chose this book. So stupid me didn‘t enjoy it BUT it is well written. Sorry to the author you did great 😉

Meh, this wasn't very good. I gave it two stars instead of one because of a somewhat interesting beginning.

Otherwise the writing in this was pretty damn mediocre, it took forever for anything romantic or sexual to happen between these two, the "stalker" was cartoonish, the "kink" wasn't that hot, barely focused on, this didn't even write out what happened to Toby when he was kidnapped by his stalker, just that Thorne was waiting for him and worrying and then Toby gets out of it and comes back and THEN he TELLS what happens.

Like??? That isn't just telling, that's a character telling, instead of showing. Not good.

Weeks go by that we don't see several times, Toby gets pregnant from some dude he met before meeting Thorne at some orgy, so that immediately bummed me out (also, Toby gets sick once from morning sickness, Thorne takes him to the doctor and then it's like "yep, pregnant" like, not a very good build up).

I found myself skimming by the 65% mark, i didn't care what happened to the characters, I didn't feel a connection between Toby and Thorne - there was no build up either.

I don't get why Tommy, one of Toby's band members, hates him and accuses him of things he doesn't do and has no sympathy for the fact that Toby has ADHD. But Toby is the clear star, and worthy of it because he has talent, but Tommy wants to replace him with some rando? Who in their right mind would want that when the real talent would get them to go much farther? Also, why did two of the other band members go along with Tommy's bullshit? We don't really get any answers.

The sex, also, took so long to happen that I was bored by the time it came along, and it wasn't that interestingly written either.

Just...I didn't like much about this book at all. It did show promise at the beginning, but that promise wasn't fulfilled. Piper Scott can do much better this, so I wonder if the major failing in this for me was the other author's writing, which I haven't read any other books for. I don't know.

But this was a thumbs down for me. Do not recommend.

The protagonist in this has ADHD and the way it was written was just the right amount of hilarious. Also the damn dog stole the whole show, gotta love a little rat chihuahua. Adorable

Fun, short read but as all the Susi Hawke I tried to read there was so much tell and zero show and it got me quite frustrated

2 stars. I was so excited for this to come out only for it to be terrible. The writing isn't good, the characters are flat and one dimensional and there's just no genuine chemistry between Thorne and Toby. There's a dumb stalker plot line that goes nowhere and the time jumps were weird. Just a big fail overall. I won't be continuing with this series. This book was more than enough.

This bordered on being absurd for me. Let me elaborate (rant incoming) :

It was a little too much. There is mpreg, an out-of-control musician, 'daddy' kink, an overly caricatured antagonist, a stalker. All in one book. Also, there was a few too many "Boy"s sprinkled in there for me to keep a straight face.

SPOILER WARNING:

The relationship: I never felt the MCs personalities, nor did I feel a connection between them. It's straight from business arrangement to love. Also, why call Thorne a daddy when he was more like a lifestyle coach with dominating tendencies? As someone who has read their fair share of daddy kink, this book fell a off the wagon for me.

The stalker: I get the need for added drama, but then why have it all happening off page? Why not hear about the kidnapning from Toby's POV as it is happening rather than through Thorne as Toby tells the story.

The antagonist: The storyline with Tommy was legit enough, but his whole character was too caricatured for me to take him and the conflict seriously.

I understand that Alpha-omega /mpreg dynamics are often a little far fetched in terms of realism, but this was too much for me.

Toby is a musician with ADHD who has a hard time focusing--so he decides to hire a dom to help him with that. Which is how Thorne first comes into his life. And when Toby finds himself pregnant, a whole new dimension creeps its way into both men's lives...

I don't even know what to say about this. It is completely ridiculous in concept and in execution. The way the relationship comes together is, frankly, unbelievable. And then the whole idea of Toby getting pregnant is, well, nonsensical. Had to read this for a challenge, or I would have stopped after the second chapter.
