I love reading a story that touches you and let me tell you, there are some spectacularly magical elements to this amazing book. I loved Wilder’s story, I loved Ander’s story more, and A.M. Johnson left me all in my feels after finishing Donovan’s poignant story about finding love when you need it, when you don’t expect it, and when you deserve to let the past go so you can find happiness. This age gap, MM romance between a professor/literary agent and his 24 year old student was so sweet, and will pull at your heartstrings often and in the best of ways.

Parker is a gay man who enlisted to fulfill his father’s dream. He tried to live out, but quickly and painfully discovered that wasn’t possible. As soon as his contract was up, he left and began a business degree, but secretly desires to be a writer. Signing up for a creative writing course, he meets Donovan, his professor who is following his lifelong dream to teach. They meet again at a club and sparks fly. Because the college has a strict policy, Donovan and Parket must keep their relationship a secret. Parker flirts constantly with him and despite Van’s efforts to keep his distance for a multitude of reasons, their chemistry and connection is too strong to be denied.

There were SO many things I loved about this story. The many levels that Van and Parker care about each other hit my heart over and over again. Given they both have a love of writing, A.M. Johnson wove a fictitious retelling of Peter Pan featuring an MM storyline which gave a magical touch to this love story. She makes parallels between the story and their tale and creates a romance that simply must be on your TBR. I can’t recommend this book enough.

I think this might be my favorite in the series. I seriously loved both Van and Parker. I also seriously loved Parkers BFF Marcos and if he doesn't get his own book I might cry. Marcos gives zero fucks and his over the top comments had me laughing out loud while reading. But back to Parker and Van. I enjoyed almost everything about this book. I'm a huge fan of the anonymous messaging trope. Is that a trope? When the two MCs meet online and have no idea they already know each other in real life. I eat that shit up. I was also on the edge of my seat waiting to see how Van, Parkers college professor, was going to react to the fact that he did some pretty vivid sexting with one of his students. *fans self*

" How easy it would be...to get lost inside the stars with you."

Though there was plenty of humor, this book was also incredibly romantic. Van was a total sweetheart with his blushes and shyness. I adored how Parker was so understanding and patient with him. The two had so much in common and both recognized the chance at something amazing between them. The steam was plentiful and reading along through all of Van's firsts with a man was scorching my kindle. It was just so passionate between them and the intimacy of it all leapt off the pages.

" It was immense and surreal, but underneath all the chaos there was a shining light. Me and him. And I was enough. I was enough."

I've really enjoyed all of the books in this series. [a:A.M. Johnson|1013748|A.M. Hopefully that includes some more of Marcos along with a certain Pride House Manager. I know I'm not the only one who saw something there.

This is my first book from A.M. Johnson and… wow. WOWOWOW.

First of all, this book hits on so many tropes that I love:
-Single (co-)parent dad
-Age gap
-Professor/student (he’s 33, student is 24)
-Epistolary-esq (they meet on a Grindr-like app anonymously)

Donovan “Van” Brody is 33, divorced, and just took a part time professor job at a college. In his first class he meets Parker, the cheeky, 24 year old, gay, Air Force veteran who happens to be an amazing writer.

Donovan has never been with a man, but has alway known he was attracted to men. But since he married his high school sweetheart and they only recently divorced, he’s never been able to act on it. Until one night, a friend introduces him to Pegasus - a Grindr-like app where he bonds quickly with a stranger over their love of a queer book based on Peter Pan.

The story unfolds in a semi-slow burn. There are definitely some sexy (virtual) scenes where they’re exploring anonymously, but after meeting and deciding to pursue dating they take it slow and there are lots of conversations about consent and sexuality and what qualifies as “sex”.

The conflict is that their college has a strict "no fraternization" policy and Donovan worries about their relationship becoming public and ruining his career (he works as a book editor) or impacting his daughter. But, he doesn't want to push Parker back "in the closet" with a secret relationship.

Seeing Parker with Donovan’s 10 year old daughter was adorable. Seeing Donovan finally realize he feels “whole” and “himself” for the first time was so sweet.

You see the couples from previous books (and I think there’s a couple who got set up for a future book), but I didn’t feel out of the loop from jumping in with book 3.

CW: Parker was assaulted in the past, it's mentioned but not graphically described

Parker and Donovan are perfect together and this story is a wonderful read.

The tabooness of teacher student but not. The realisation of who you are meant to be.

This is a great addition to this series and another beautifully written story by AM Johnson.
