I enjoyed this book but Holy Baggage! Tamar has a huge secret that is making her run and making her isolate her self from everyone. Lyrik carries around a major guilt for his actions in the past and it makes him think he can never have a relationship. These two are a huge ball of angst! The love story, the drama, the secrets and watching these two characters shed their baggage was awesome. After the 1st two books in this series, I can say I was a little let down on the heat in this book. Yeah there is sex and it's hot but not nearly as much as I was expecting. Can't wait for the next book!

Narration.....HELLO what do you think LOL it's Andi & Sebastian....Perfection!!

A 3.5 Lighting ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 stars read!

This series still continues to keep me hooked. This time around we get Lyrik and Tamar's story and it is one that will have your feelings breaking down fiercely.

"I want everything you have to give. Even if this ends right here. it's more than I ever thought I 'd have."

The bad boy persona of guitarist Lyrik West with the tattoos and the obsidian eyes is so much more than what you see on the outside. Then we have Tamar West, a woman who likes to likes to keep to herself and tends to stay away from anything entailing the limelight regardless being Shea's best friend.

"You might have given up on yourselves. Just don't give up on each other."

We have two broken people who have stories that could not be taken lightly. They prefer to keep their protective walls up; however, they have a connection that keeps drawn to each other. The heart is testing their patience but the want for more is constantly challenging them to new heights.

"Blue, you sing my soul."

This book has many moments between Lyrik and Tamar where the push and pull were intense and where their story is one that will have your mind playing catch up with your heart. Although there were moments that were just ok for me it entailed a good mix of balance.

Wow. This book. I'm not sure that any review I could write would do it justice. The writing is just absolutely beautiful. It's poetry in novel form.

For the third book in the series, I never expected such a deeply emotional book. A.L. Jackson has given us two very broken characters in Lyrik and Tamar. Both have given up on themselves and ever finding love. Due to past mistakes and trauma, they are each shut off emotionally and have hid behind the walls that they've constructed around themselves for years. But, there's no fighting their attraction for each other. The sexual tension between these two oozes off the page. Through the whole first half of the book, you can feel the storm brewing. The push-pull.

I love Jackson's writing and her story-telling. This is definitely a heavier read and I could feel every emotion that these characters were feeling. I would put the book down and be carrying those feelings around with me until I picked it back up again. That's some powerful writing. Plus, I really cared about each of these characters. I wanted them to find it in themselves to open their hearts and really start living.

He stood out like a fiery bolt of electricity. A streak of light and a blanket of dark. So destructive and compelling it was impossible to look away, the boy poised to strike and set you aflame.

That girl was a bundle of fireworks, and I was certain we’d go boom.

For one night, I wanted it. I wanted her secrets. I wanted to sink my fingers in and take for myself. She was the exact kind of contradiction I craved. The push and pull. But this time the pull was too great to ignore.

My need for him had hit with the force of a desert storm. Because there was a piece of me already tethered to him. This piece that screamed we were the same. That we belonged.

"So often, that first love feels like it’s the most important thing in the world, when in reality, it’s only there to give us a glimpse…to prepare us…for what it’s really going to feel like when we meet the one we’re supposed to spend our lives with. Because it pales in comparison.”

“You might have given up on yourselves. Just don’t give up on each other.”

Relationships are messy

Baggage, these people have a lot of baggage. Either they made mistakes and can't forgive themselves or they've been preyed upon by jerks and are having a hard time recovering...just dealing with their own issues is difficult, but then throwing in a weird relationship on top of that? Boy, it's rough.

But, sometimes you meet someone and they jump-start your life, for whatever reason. Not that it has to be a romantic awakening. It could be a friend or a mentor or whomever who forces you to face your life and deal with it. This book was all about that.

The story did drive me nuts a few times, though. I related to Tamar, but her acceptance of Lyrik being an idiot over and over again...nope. I wouldn't have had the patience to deal with his overtures. So cocky, so stupid at times. Grow up, dude. But then I remember these people are fictional and slap myself. I need to stop getting so invested in these books. They're not real people! Hahahaha

Anyway...a good read if you're into people helping each other with their bs. Now I'm on to book 4.

It is past 1 am, & i just finished this book even though I shouldn't have stayed awake. But I needed to read this book. I needed it more than I thought i would.

Where Lightening Strikes is a Bleeding Stars novel, & follows Lyrik & Tamar, who both are damaged, and broken. Who both push and pull and taunt and tease at each other, and wind each other up. Until one day, they agree on two months. Just two months to have each other. Just two months to need each other. Just two months before Lyrik walks out that door, out of Savannah, and out of Tamars life.

I honestly loved this book. I loved Lyrik, and Tamars story. I loved the emotion that wrenched through me as I read this. And I related to both Tamar & Lyrik. And I loved the glimpses into Sunder, and Sebastian, and Ash, & the rest of the band. I am going to be feeling the affects of this book long after- this book will be in my heart, mind, & soul. I cannot wait to continue the Bleeding Stars series! I give this book 5⭐ out of 5⭐.

I can not get enough of Sunder! This series has me in its grip but Lyrik and Tamars story is one I will always remember. Love, Loyalty, Heartache, Angst, Discover and Betrayal.....I laughed and I cried during this story. Two broken souls that find each other and heal each other.

Lyrik and Tamar were yet another beautiful addition to the series. Just brilliant. This book brought on so many emotions for me! We've obviously already met both of these characters in the previous books, but what we don't see is the depth to these characters. In this book we learn EVERYTHING about them - both characters have so many layers and we really discover them as individuals and as a couple.
Honestly, I will read anything that A. L Jackson writes! I strongly suggest you read the rest of the series first, and when you get here you will enjoy the story to it's full potential.
