I chose this book solely based on the title, because it is quite a description about me and other non-believers. I have had suffered through one other book by the same author and only on picking up the book I realized the fact. I still tried to not get myself disappointed before reading it. Well didn't work quite well. Half way through the book all I felt was a disappointment and quite a bit of hate.
The most interesting thin tho is that I am so much like the main character here. And it didn't help to hate myself little less. I still think I would never do such a thing, but frankly I am not so sure anymore. The book turned around for me tho. On the end where David reappeared and the ending was good despite the factors. And the love described here is what we all wish for, it had no boundaries and no time limit. And in the end all we want is some timeless love.

I loved the beauty of the words and emotions in this book.
An unconventional love story.
I appreciated the flawed nature of the heroine, Yara. She was a bit broken and selfish. I could understand her insecurities and walls. There’s beauty in her journey.
I loved David and his tenacity and ability to be open.
Really unique story!

I love Tarryn Fishers writing. She makes me feel all the things. She made me feel the jealousy, even though I have no one to be jealous over. That's how good she is and how much I love her.

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time, probably since it came out, due to the title and the cover. I kinda fell in love at first sight with the cover. Anyways, though I’ve only read one other book by Tarryn (The Wives), I follow her on Instagram and look forward to TWT every week and I saw so many recommendation on this book on PNL group so my expectations were really high.

I have mixed emotions about this book. I like the writing. I kinda like the plot too; an artist looking for a muse and finds a girl who just wants a casual relationship. Girl breaks his heart and the artist get inspired. A game of mouse and cat and they get their HEA. But what annoys me the most is the female character; sometime she sounds reasonable and very mature but most of the times she is so annoying I have to skip all her narratives. And I guess thus the 3 stars.

Fucking hell I am upset

I need to stop reading depressing romances

I resonated SO much with Yara, her narcissism, her never feeling good enough for anybody so she isolated herself.

The hurt I feel in my heart for this book …. He built her the restaurant she joked about in every city she lived in, just in case she came back. I am sick to my stomach

The dual perspective, starting the book with an email, never really knowing what happened during the climax of their relationship, only seeing the POV of before and after…genius

This is my first Tarryn Fisher book and definitely won't be my last. Her books always look too sad or angsty for me..but alas I am here because of Colleen Hoover. Surely the friend of my favorite author is also an amazing author... I was right :-)

This one is practically five stars. It would've been right up until it ended. It ended perfectly, yet I was still waiting for more. Oftentimes, endings make or break my book experience. This ending didn't taint the whole experience, but enough for me to only give it four stars. I've been trying to save my five stars for books that I just absolutely truly love instead of just books that were a good read. I'm sure that makes no sense... Any who, my five star ratings go to the books that make me feel right up to my core. This got close, but missed the mark.

With that being said, I really did like this book! I was surprised how much I enjoyed this author. Her Goodreads blurb about making people feel was definitely present in this book. There was a lot of sadness and hurt that was low-key hard to read. I like that this book wasn't rushed or cliche like other books. I like that the name Yara fit her unique character and David was just plain old David (even though he ended up being a lot more than that). Her nomadic lifestyle was hard for me to understand, but I guess someone who doesn't have family or feel like they can be loved wouldn't really want to stay in one place for a long time... I think this book ended up being a lot more than I bargained for, emotionally? I think it was just verrrrrrry deep. That's a good thing.. just not what I was expecting. It was a good read even though the ending left me wanting more closure. I think I'll definitely try another Fisher book.

I thought I'd give it a try and see what the hype is all about. Then I finished reading and I was like, "This novel lacks something". And you know what it is? It's connection and order. The characters' feelings are all over the place. There are plenty of irrelevant side stories that disrupt the build up of hero and Heroine's connection. And don't get me started with the last 2 or 3 chapters that tackled about Yara's mom instead of David & Yara's relationship. That was the worst transition I've ever read. How do you go from "Let's settle this 3-year fuck up relationship" to "My mom died cuddle me and let's make up" real quick?!

Yara -One of the worst heroines I've read. She was really likable at first but 60-70% of the book, she became this annoying-coward-narcissist woman where she makes everything all about her.
David -One of the best heroes I've read. He has a pure heart and patience of a saint that Yara doesn't deserve at all.

The first thing I will say about this book, is that is intense. I like that it's not your cliche love story. Everything about Yara and David's relationship is raw and real. It's definitely a page turner, very emotional but a little more mature than other New Adult Romance books. This book is not a sex fueled erotica by any means. This was well written and definitely it makes you feel things. Yara's relationships with other people are similar to many real life relationships. They all serve their varying purposes and degrees of depth. Each character had a significant role and it was clearly defined by the end of the book. The only thing I didn't like was the ending. There is room for a second book should she choose to write one.
