It's a good book. would've finished it early but college started again. Another romance book that made me feel what the characters were feeling.

Gotta love a book where she starts off kissing a guy she thinks is her blind date, but turns out to be the brooding hero, friend of her brother...hehehe...

As always, it's a great book from Shalvis.
Zoe and Parker were a lot of fun, had great chemistry and the animals? THE ANIMALS, GUYS! So adorable!! Bonnie and Clyde are adorable as is, but together with Oreo, they were super uber-adorable.
I also felt like Shalvis should have explored the Down Syndrome situation a bit more, as this is such a unique and important trait to give a character (even a side one), and having it barely function in anything is a bit underwhelming.

Every time I pick up a Jill Shalvis book, I am just sucked into the world she is created like Alice and Wonderland. I go down the rabbit hole. Sometimes I think I even need the Rabbit telling me I'm late.

Zoe's favorite saying is "I got this", even when she's trying to fix a leaking sink that she just makes worse, a brick that falls out of the fireplace when she slams the door, or even the bath tub that doesn't drain because a loofa is in it. She is very independent and doesn't like anyone doing anything for her. She is set up on a blind date by a friend, with a dentist. Her sister, Darcy, tells her to be spontaneous and decides she likes the idea of being bold. When she opens the door and is immediately attracted to "the dentist", who's not really the dentist but her brother's friend Parker, she kisses him.

The tension between them is broken by her dog Oreo. He is a rescue and doesn't like men, but immediately takes to Parker. While he is town on "vacation" he is trailing a bad guy after being run over and his partner killed. He lies to her in the beginning about his job, eventually coming clean. However, he does continue to fib about fixing different things that's wrong with the house, while she's at work or asleep. I love how he makes it seem like she fixes everything, and tells her she did a good job.

Then Parker has to go and save some kittens. How can a woman not fall for a guy that does that? He takes them back to Zoe's and introduces them to Oreo. The kittens make him nervous and he proceeds to pee on them. I cracked up. But he happily adopts them into the family. I always enjoy seeing Peanut in the Animal Magnetism books he is such a nut and makes me laugh every time by his antics. Silly bird.

I loved watching Parker interact with is younger sister. It just makes your heart melt and fall in love with him a little more. Both of these characters grew over the course of the book, they lived together before they were even a couple. Which with their chemistry/magnetism it was difficult for them to stay apart. Between Oreo rolling in bear poo, the kittens Bonnie and Clyde being rambunctious, and crazy Peanut they just help to support the story and make it that much better. All I Want is a must read, it has suspense, a love story, humor, and a world that you wish you could be a part of.

If you want a feel good book with lots of character and humor Jill Shalvis is the author for you!! I have never met a Jill Shalvis book I didn't like. I don't think I ever will! Her characters are chopped full of real life quirks. You never know what kind of situations her heros or heroines will get into.

This book starts off with Zoe going on a blind date with a dentist. She decides to be daring and bold and kiss the dentist after she opens the door. However it's not the dentist she kisses its her brother's best friend Parker. She has never met Parker before this moment but Wyatt talked her into letting him stay with her while he's in town. Of course this tension between them is broken by her dog Oreo (whom I loved). Oreo doesn't like men however when Parker shows up he climbs all over him. You should always take hints from your pets about people, they are good judges of character. Not only does Zoe have to live with the incredibly attractive Parker while he's on "vacation" she is technically working with him by flying him over some interesting areas in Idaho. She is fighting her attraction for him. Zoe keeps repeating to herself that he isn't staying but of course her heart doesn't want to believe it. I mean seriously how is she supposed to resist a man who kisses and rescues kittens for goodness sakes. I really enjoyed Jill Shalvis throwing in the beginning with Oreo about how he rolls in bear poop. Reminds me of another dog... maybe Jill's dog?? that was so funny.

Parker is chasing bad guys. These bad guys do not play nice they will use anyone or anything against him. So far he has stayed pretty well hidden. His attraction to his roommate Zoe is immediate, however he's not going to let anyone distract him from catching this bad guy. Technically Parker is on leave after being run over literally by the bad guys. He's gotten orders from higher ups that he's not to go after this guy. So as a normal stubborn man what does he do.... he goes after the guy. For some reason he finds himself actually being honest with Zoe. The only thing he fibs to her about is the home improvements he's doing while she's at work. It's so funny when she starts realizes he's doing this.

I really enjoyed this book, it was almost like they were a married couple before they were a couple. They lived together they worked together always around each other. They raised the dog together then the kittens. I loved how she was attempting to date while he was living with her. The old lady dress is a classic, I feel it should be like the sisterhood of the traveling pants and go to the next lucky lady in line! Parker's sister Armory was a delight I hope she comes to visit them soon. I really hope to see this couple in the future animal magnetism books.

In Wyatt's book, [b:Then Came You|18628672|Then Came You (Animal Magnetism, #5)|Jill Shalvis|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1382410733s/18628672.jpg|26419830], I remember sister Darcy being this indelible force as a secondary character. I knew I wanted to read her book and low and behold we got Darcy's book earlier this year with [b:Still the One|22668746|Still the One (Animal Magnetism, #6)|Jill Shalvis|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1408418287s/22668746.jpg|42170953]. My point here is, while I liked Zoe's character in those books, she didn't really stand out for me. I didn't think about her being the next one to get her HEA, although when I read the synopsis for this book my first thought was "yeah that makes sense". So imagine my surprise when Zoe's book just blows it out of the water! I love it so much when I'm surprised by a book, and All I Want did just that.

After an incident on the job, US Fish and Wildlife Special Agent Parker is told to take some much needed vacation time. He circumvents this by staying in Sunshine, Idaho in the home of his friend Wyatt Stone's older sister Zoe. I say circumvent because Parker has no real intention of taking a vacation. It just so happens the trail of one of his cases points to Idaho. Always one to put work above everything else, Parker isn't prepared for Zoe Stone who makes him actually stop and think of what it would be like to really slow down a bit.

Since both her sister and brother have moved out (not to mentioned moved in with the loves of their lives), Zoe has been feelings a bit lonely. She's always been the caregiver, the big sister, since their parents didn't really understand the meaning of the word "parent" when they were growing up. Zoe's tired of being alone and she's to the point where she's ready to meet someone, even if that means going out on numerous blind dates. When Parker shows up on her doorstep she can't help but notice how attractive he is. But despite his attractiveness, Zoe quickly learns that Parker is not the type of guy to stick around, always on the move for his job. Zoe doesn't think she could take the heartbreak of getting involved with him only to lose him later, but she also just can't seem to get him off her mind either.

Zoe has the problem of always having to be the one in charge. This has come from years as having to be the responsible one in place of her parents and it's not something she can easily let go. I loved seeing Parker come into her life and pretty much force her to let go. The great thing about this is that Jill Shalvis doesn't demean Zoe's character by giving her some much needed help. Zoe doesn't suddenly move away from being this strong and stubborn woman over the course of the story just because a man comes along, she remains ever strong and stubborn, but the message here is that sometimes people need help, you can't do everything on your own. Part of remaining strong is knowing when to ask for help from other people. Although it takes Zoe a little bit before she actually "asks" she does thank Parker for helping her with odds and ends around her house.

Likewise Parker, too, is stubborn. He's stubborn about his job. He's never entertained the idea of settling down somewhere permanently where he won't constantly be on the move. Zoe actually makes him think he might want more out of his life than a string of relationships that ultimately go nowhere. It was almost heartbreaking to see Parker be so closed off at times. Not really wanting to get too close to Zoe. The times when Zoe and Parker show their vulnerabilites to one another were some of my favorites. There were times I honestly couldn't see how Jill Shalvis would give these characters there much needed HEA, but alas she pulls it off quite nicely.

The chemistry between Parker and Zoe was off the charts. These aren't characters we've seen dance around each other in secondary roles for previous books (such as Zoe's sister Darcy) and these aren't characters who obviously have a history together (such as Zoe's brother Wyatt and Emily). Zoe and Parker's relationship starts at the beginning of this book and I have to give Jill Shalvis some major props for writing such a great romance that gave the right amount of relationship building and heat, without feeling rushed and unbelievable. In reading many romances where the relationship is pretty much confined to one story, I've found often enough that author's either get it or they don't. Jill Shalvis gets it.

If you're a fan of this series already, you will not be disappointed. If you're new to this series, don't worry this book can definitely be read as a standalone. Just because it's book number 7 don't let that keep you from picking up a great romance.

All I Want is the newest installment to the Animal Magnetism series from Jill Shalvis. Though it is book seven in the series, each book is a standalone story containing interconnected characters. Each of these books is so much fun to read, and I always know that I am going to enjoy the story when Jill's name is on the cover. All I Want was no exception, and it was just as adorable as what I have come to know from Jill Shalvis.

After the childhood she had, Zoe is happy to be settled in Sunshine Idaho. Being a pilot allows her to work and give flying lessons on the side to help pay the bills. But besides her work and family, Zoe is looking for something else and has been trying to find it with a series of blind dates. So when her brother asks her to allow his best friend to rent a room from her for a few weeks she agrees as long as he agrees to her house rules. But when Zoe meets Parker, things immediately spark between them and Zoe finds him getting under her skin. Zoe finds herself wanting something with Parker and though she knows she should stay away, she can't help but give in to her feelings. With Parker only in town for a few weeks though, will she end up with a broken heart?

I liked Zoe and Parker together. They were really cute, and they had great chemistry. These two seemed to just get each other right away and their connection was natural. They were sweet and funny, and I loved how they couldn't help but fall for one another. I will say that I didn't really connect with them that well, but I did enjoy their story. Zoe was hard for me to relate to, and I thought that she had a few issues. Parker was the same though, which is part of what made them work well together. While I did like them, I just thought that each of them made some questionable choices here, and I didn't always like the way they acted.

Overall, this was another great addition to the series and I did enjoy it. Fans of Shalvis will enjoy the humor here as well as the sweet and romantic emotional moments that always set her contemporary romance stories apart from others. I did think that this one was a bit predictable and there wasn't really anything new or different. But it was a solid story and I think a lot of readers will really like Zoe and Parker together. If you are a fan of Jill Shalvis you will definitely want to check this one out, and if you are new to her books this is a great place to start. The Animal Magnetism series is one of my favorites, and are well worth the read.

Same formulaic novel she's become known for. Really nothing special or spectacular about this one. Also: Wasn't Zoe a lesbian when we first met her in Wyatt's book? Kind of disappointed. Just saying.
