It was amazing! I wished it had more Gilbert and Anne moments, but other then that, I loved it!

Still not quite the highest perfection of the first two, but a delightful volume nonetheless.
I did not love the structure of this book. Stylistically the format turned into letters and first person narrative, which was very different from all the other Anne books. After getting over that shock I was slowly able to get into the plot a little more.
This book deals with Anne’s life after college and the period of time she’s engaged to and apart from Gilbert while he finishes medical school. It’s sad that he’s completely absent from the book, but Anne still has many adventures on her own which keeps us all entertained in the meantime.
I enjoyed her battles with the Pringles and how she wins them over in the end. It’s classic Anne, only now she’s all grown up and independent. Overall an enjoyable read.

I was very disappointed in this book. I loved the first three books, but this one was just "meh". It was basically plotless, with just a recollection of random things happening over three years. The writing style also jumps from letters written in the first person to third person narrative. What was even more annoying was that some parts of the letters were "omitted" and this was mentioned. Either you mention it or you don't, you don't just "omit it" because Anne doesn't have the right pen!
Everything was nice and cutesy in the end, as if everything sorted itself magically.

Once again, as lovely as can be!! I simply adore every bit of these books 💛
Not my favorite book in the series, but still quite satisfying. Anne boards at a place called Windy Poplars where the widows, Aunt Kate and Aunt Chatty, and Rebecca Dew make her feel instantly at home, Rebecca Dew will always have a special place in my heart, she's such a funny character.
Anne has taken up the position of principal at Summerside High and the three years in which she teaches there are filled with adventures for her (of course, since Anne couldn't possibly NOT have adventures). The only critical thing I have to say about this book is that while we get to see a lot of Anne's correspondence with Gilbert, we get to see none of his letters to her. But this novel is well worth reading nonetheless.

je romantisice bcpppp ce bouquin avec ttes les fanfics mega dramatiques sur le sujet mais en réalité ce tome manque de romance
I had no idea (until today) that this was written after the next books. I enjoyed the characters. I liked the letters Anne wrote back home. It was a good segue between her college life and her wedding. It’s not my favorite book ever, but it was a good listen and I’ll revisit it.
