I like A Vision of Shadows, I have waited for Skyclan to join the others. But the arc had many flaws. I hate Tigerstar, he was made out to be this honorably warrior and trustworthy deputy, but the second he became leader he turned out to be a huge asshole. He was way to easily forgiven. But a cat I hated even more was Finleap, he was bland from the start but he really became worse, trying to press Twigbtanch into having his kits and not thinking about her feeling when she said no, when I know for a fact that he would not had taken her place in the nursery. Then ignore her and be passive aggressive after she had stood her ground. The worst part is that Twigbtanch FORGAVE him so easily, "oohh I was so sad to not have kin, I wanted that so I could feel like I passed in more in TC" LIKE BRO, maybe make a bit for attempts to get to know your own clan. "I know I was wrong and I'm sorry, it was harder to leave SkC than I first though" LIKE THAT AIN'T GONNA CUT IT, you were an ass and you gave an ass apology. Anyway, I loved Leafstar, she is top tier leader, Alderheart was sweet too and I really like Juniperclaws charecter. Another charecter I appreciate is Sparkpelt, I do not agree with her at all bur I still appreciate what she brings to the book and also how different she is compared to her brother. Though I wish someone challenged her. Also why did Tawnypelt step down as deputy, I really wanted Tawnystar, I guess it made sense after everything with Rowanstar but still. I feel like her charecter is one of many flaws in this arc.

RATING: 4 stars

It was a good end to the series! The series as a whole wasn't amazing- especially the first few books- but I've really liked the last couple ones.
And of course there is too much nostalgia for me not to continue reading the next series of Warriors lol

A (mostly) great finale to the Vision of Shadows series in the Warriors universe! I love every book in the Warriors season and would rate them all 5 stars to be quite honest, however I would say that overall the Vision of Shadows book series was my least favorite. It just didn't have the heart and fascinating story-line that other series had, like Power of Three or Omen of the Stars. I'm still always excited for the next book though and can't wait to see what the next six-part series will cover!

"Loyalty is more important than anything."

This series as a whole was not perfect, but I'm glad I read it. This series was my gateway into reading, and it holds some of my favorite characters from my childhood. While it was really good to see everyone again, I had my problems with this series.

The new characters did not seem fully developed, we did not see as much of the old guard as I would have liked, and some of the plot points seemed rushed. Previously, everything seemed nicely placed throughout the six books, but this time it felt chopped up and sometimes unclear. I also really hated how the romances for Twigbranch and Violetshine seemed to pop up out of nowhere. It was rushed and completely unnecessary.

The other thing that I hated was the issues of loyalty throughout this series particularly. Dovewing leaves ThunderClan to be with Tigerstar, and then joins ShadowClan? It's seriously like WTF, that is not the Dovewing I knew from Omen of the Stars. Cats were switching sides ever which way and loyalty to your clan was not taken seriously anymore. That pissed me off more than anything. Loyalty to your clan in this series all together was more important than anything, and I remember it being a really big deal if a cat left or betrayed their clan. Now, it's just like "whatever, no one really cares".

The only reason I am giving this book 4 stars is because of the mystery aspect to it. I enjoyed the thrill of wondering what was going to happen with SkyClan and the mystery with the death berries. I'm glad it ended the way that it did, but if I know anything about this series is that peace doesn't last forever.

"Fear tugged deep in Alderheart´s belly. The Clans are in danger, and there's nothing he can do."

Wow! Well, at least, wow in the sense that it's over. Was that really how the Erins planned to end this arc? I won't go much into spoilers because, but i will say that it didn't feel like a final book.

Raging Storm had, from the start, a hard show to follow up to. Not in the sense of quality, but storywise. Despite the road to wrap up the Skyclan joining-plot, it was a hollow walk that offered little of depht that had been built up. It felt like a third book most of the way, not a final.

I enjoyed Violetshine and Alderheart´s parts most of the time, but Twigbranch´s constant scrabble with Finleap was way too long and only made me hate that tom even more. I felt for Twigbranch every time he bugged her about kits, knowing the pain of having to insist over and over that maybe that just isn't for her. The final solution for it was poorly handled i'd say, and i really wish Finleap would get over himself.

Meanwhile i was glad to see Alderheart stand up for what he believed in and actually be listened to! It wasn't the ending his arc deserved but then again, he hardly had one to begin with besides being Jayfeather´s punchlinebag.

One thing that really bugged me about how the pov´s were divided this time was how nothing was a surprise. Only in two instances did they use the several perspectives like it should, where otherwise it was just in the way. When you've just read the chapter that tells you some cat has left or gone missing, and then the next the pov changes and now this idiot has to investigate it themselves and be super suprised when they discover what we already knew, it just gets boring. Tension is gone and so is the joy of reading it.

I phazed through it fast bc it was very predictable most of the way, but also because i've heard so much good about Broken code and i am so ready for it.

Vision of Shadows arc started out with a lot of potential, like most arcs have, but just as soon spiralled into the same issues and the same disputes, ending with the same spur of hope eventually leading into more predictable trouble.

Im so glad i didn't pay for this one.
