As a reader I am sure like me you have, wished yourself to be in the book your currently reading at the time or perhaps your all time favourite book? How could i pass the opportunity to join Naia, on this wonderful fairytale like adventure? I could not nor could i drag myself away from the book till i had finished reading, it drew me in and held my attention. I just could not escape and hated when it ended I wanted more.

The melding of the two worlds Naia's and the shadow knights worked seamlessly. It flowed perfectly and was fast paced with enough twists to keep me wanting to read more. I really enjoyed how before Naia was sucked into the Black Moon Draw, we got to know the shadow knight and his world as if we were reading a regular book. The two point of views from our main characters worked perfectly I found them both to be reliable story tellers and to have all the qualities you expect our hero and heroine to have. They are both flawed and troubled from the start but are relatable and realistic because of these flaws and their strengths. I felt like both characters under went a lot of growth throughout the book and Naia was just incredible in all aspects, as annoying her self doubt could be it was truly realistic and I can relate to her in so many ways.

I am not a big fantasy reader, however i thoroughly enjoyed this book. The world building was outstanding and although some aspects might be seen as borrowed, in no way is this book unoriginal. It truly is, everything just seemed to work and so many twists and turns mixed with action it's hard to pick faults. I even thought that all of the pop culture references worked well, it felt playful and added a element of humour to what was a serious situation for Naia and the other characters to be in. My favourite parts of the book were when Naia was trying to communicate with the author or berating the author for time inconsistency and other things. The amount of times I caught myself chuckling aloud, it's lucky that my husband knows I am not crazy (just normal woman crazy LOL).

I would recommend this book if you like fantasy books and have ever wanted to be in a book you have read or are reading. It is a unique read. I would liken it to the Labyrinth, never ending story and princess bride all the golden oldies from many of our childhoods.

OH MY FUCKING GOD !!! This is THE story which every bookworm has dreamed of !!
Abandoned four days before her wedding, Naia, an introverted bookseller, spent her evening drinking and reading her favorite book until she fell asleep. One problem, instead of waking up in her apartment the next day, she finds herself in a strange world that looks suspiciously like the one of her favorite book, including Knights soo sexy.
A BIG big crush =D I didn't know this author but it was a very pleasant surprise =)
A truly original story, a nice style, many cultural references (Labyriiiiiiinthe ><) and a well-constructed universe.
For the characters, I admit that Naia was a bit too whiny for my taste but others were extra = D
And the end !! So great and so frustrating at the same time ><
I loved the Red Knight, so I soo wanted to know more about him =)
In short, a must read !!

I loved this book. It was just so much fun to read and the characters were great. Having a real life girl get sucked into the pages of fictional book, where she doesn't know the rules and things are so different than anything she's ever known, was great because it made the interactions that much more entertaining. There was so much about Naia that is just like me that I'm actually a little jealous she got what I've been wishing for. Being able to escape her boring life by being thrown into an adventure and to find a greater purpose to her life. Of course, you can't forget how she found her love...

Naia is a wallflower that doesn't stand out and prefers her books to the real world. Oh, how familiar. Having been dumped by her fiance days before their wedding because he had another woman, Naia is definitely depressed. So she gets drunk and ends up waking in the world of an unfinished book she had been reading on wattpad by one of her favorite authors. Tired of always being put down and simply never good enough for anyone, it's in this world that she decides she wants to start over and be more than she had ever been in her life. But that's easier said than done. Fueling this desire, in part, is the Shadow Knight. One of the best alphas I have read about in a while. He demands complete obedience by all and has a very interesting sense of humor that I loved. He's a brute but also loyal and respectable. He claims Naia as his battle witch as was foretold a thousand years ago because she will be the last and he needs her. The Shadow Knight is on a mission to take back every land from every other Knight on that world because they were originally one and belonged to his family. Should he fail to do so by a certain time the curse that has plagued his lands will destroy that world. Naia is key to this but it's so hard for her to believe. After all, she's a terrible battle witch and any magic she has is inconsistent. Plus she's still fighting herself over whether any of this is real, she was dragged into a book after all. But she is starting to believe in herself more and more as she spends time with the Shadow Knight. Which is a good thing, because it's all up to her to save everybody, make it real and get her happily ever after.

Most of the characters here were interesting (which along with Naia, one can't help but try to figure out their role in the story) and the world created was fascinating. From the animal heads that the Shadow Knight's army wore (thank gawd they did come off!) to the power knowing a name can have. We're surrounded by beautiful lands, encounter freaky bug traps and escape from dungeons hanging from the skies. We are thrown into bloody fights and Naia is literally thrown from a tree. I smiled so much during this book and laughed all the time. I had a hard time putting it down as well. I loved it and am curious as to if I would enjoy the author's other works as well...

I rate this a solid 3.5\4 stars. For a book about a girl that literally gets pulled into a book, this was a lot better than I was expecting! I loved how different then characters were! The only thing I would have liked to of seen differently was the ending/epilogue... I wanted more of a wrap up ending to the world of Black Moon Draw instead of the author meeting a character. It would have made more sense. That aside, it was a fun, enjoyable read!

Reread: I didn't enjoy the author being tied into the book. I wasn't crazy about it the first time around but reading it a second time, I thought it really took away from the story. Still a good read though!

Second Reread: I'm pretty much agreeing with my past thoughts on this book.

Poor Naia a bookwork/librarian who gets dumped before her wedding. She spends the time she was suppose to be preparing for her big day reading and watching movies. Which doesn’t sound too bad to me. She finds this book online by LF ( seriously took me to writing the review to realize hey look Lizzy Ford’s initial are LF too! ahhhh funny..) while she’s wallowing and reading this story thats getting posted on line and not to the speed she finds acceptable she’s also drinking wine. She passes out and wakes up in the world of the book she was reading. Black Moon Draw.

I really enjoyed this book. One: I still want to step Through the Looking Glass, so reading a story about a woman who gets sucked into a book world was great. Even though I don’t want her book world or want to get sucked in her alternates she would prefer ( No, unlike some women I would not like to be pulled into 50 Shades of Gray) I can appreciate how cool it would be. Two: It was a wonderful story full of gems that tied into pop culture and how they get tied in you’d appreciate the sense of humor ( I’m still laughing about Lord of the Wings and the “square table”). I enjoyed The Shadow Knights and Naias back and forth banter. The story was fun and imaginative.
I’m not sure I care for Naia’s character there was just something about her that irked me (no not her lack of confidence but something) , but I think she works well in the story. She’s unconfident and needs to believe in herself to find the magic within her to help her knight save Black Moon Draw.

All in all a fun story with some humorous parts that even I was laughing out loud at A love conquers all type story. It really had to be a lot of fun to write this book and I think Lizzy Ford had fun with it.

Its an adult story so there is some sex and sexual references.

Clichéd, one-dimensional characters and plot. I stopped reading after the passage 'I'm not much of one for apples. Bread, though, is my weakness, as evidenced by my thighs [...]'

This was just OK for me. I liked the idea behind the story (a reader ends up in the actual story she's reading) but the main character's "woe is me" attitude got a little old. I ended up skimming the second half of the book.

REVIEW:
Holy Moly! I’m writing my review just as I finished that last sentence and I’m still stuck in the awesome and magical world of Black Moon Draw. I cannot believe how this book started nor how it ended, so freaking fantastic! I can’t remember being so excited after finishing a book.

Black Moon Draw follows Naia who has just had the worst day ever, her fiancé has broken up with her a week before her wedding. She is distraught, but her love for literature and being a librarian seems to have consumed her so much that her fiancé thought she would rather live in a fantasy than with him. Thus that very night, Naia gets her wish, while reading an unfinished book online; she gets sucked into a world of danger, magic, warrior beast and a place that reminds her of all her favorite fantasy stories. But she doesn’t know if she’s dreaming… or if or how she’ll ever get home again.

Naia to me was a total spaz, she cracked me up with her outrageous reactions to everything that was happening to her. In all seriousness I wouldn’t know how I would react either getting sucked inside a book your reading, but she just makes a mess of things right from the start. I loved how the author brought so many of my favorite movie and book references to this story as well as making Naia very aware of the connections, such as Lord of the Rings, the Labyrinth, The Never Ending Story etc. It was seriously so much fun to step in a world of so much fantasy and still make such an original story with a young woman who is at a loss on what to do or how to help herself get home. Naia from the beginning wants to get home, not realizing that maybe she really is here for a reason and in the end her sole purpose is to open her mind and heart on why she was brought there. She did frustrate me a bit a times and I’m glad she got some sense in her at some point to see her purpose.

The Shadow King… Holy mother of yummy dangerous men! I loved this man, every muscles, smirk and crazy battle-fighting demeanor, he was awesome! At the beginning I was a little taken back, not sure if this was going to be a beauty and the beast like story because well... he was wearing a boars head. Thank goodness for fantasy and the cleverness of the author, having the men wear animal heads like helmets to make them seems scary and well it totally works! There is so much more back-story with The Shadow King, his family is cursed and Naia is brought to his world for a very specific reason. Both of them are drawn together to stop a war and to help him reclaim his rightful place. But there are many people who wish to see this not happen and with Naia being more clumsy than powerful it’s a humors and dangerous journey for both of them. Their chemistry from beginning to end is off the hook! I don’t blame the girl for acting like a total fool half the time when she around him, cause there is no doubt I would too!

Overall this was such a fantastic story, it brought me out of my slump with paranormal books and I even stayed up late on a work night to finish, because I could not put this book down for one minute. It was so darn good! There are so many small clever details that will have any book lover smiling and nodding their heads. This book was written for book lovers and fantasy lovers who have dreamed about living inside one of their favorite stories. I look forward to more from Lizzy Ford and have no doubt I’ll be re-reading this book because its one book that I loved getting lost in.

I both loved and hated this book. What grated my nerves was the main female character -- supposedly a librarian who seems to have only read about 5 books in her life and compared everything to 3 movies. Her narrations were so flaky that I skimmed through until I got to the end of her 'intervention'. The male lead, however, was much better since his chapters reflected a more developed and rounded character. The story line itself was very good. It was a novel idea (pardon the pun), but it's a pity that half of it was too ditzy for my taste.
