I borrowed this audiobook solely because it was a free credit and I was curious. I don’t have anxiety, but also I’ve stumbled upon most of the tactics spoken off in this book in my own- so maybe I do have anxiety and just figured out how to manage it originally without help? Still, it’s always a good reminder that we have a lot more control over our brains and bodies and responses than we assume and we don’t have to let emotions take everything. We can learn to not have strong responses to traumatic stimuli and brains are very malleable.

I do think the science and suggestions in this book are solid and it’s not self-help mumbo jumbo, but real ways to manage your brain.

This is so broad that a lot of it didn’t apply to me. A few useful ideas that I’ve reflected about in my personal and professional life.
