Surprisingly good.
Captain Marvel annoyed me,
But otherwise fun.

I really enjoyed The Amazo Virus storyline, but I feel there were a few issues with how it affects the Justice League. The idea is that this virus takes away a meta-humans powers, however it has mutated and now gives ordinary humans powers, before eventually killing them.

What bothers me is that Cyborg is still technically human, with various mechanical parts attached, so he should have received powers, but the put the entire League under, so I guess we won't know?

I could keep theory spinning, but that means we'll be here for at least another 10,000 words.

The build up to that story line is quite well crafted, as it didn't feel like a force major event. I also enjoy the epic artwork that the New 52 pumps out. The single page frames add a much dramatic effect to dire situations.

Well, for what's basically a zombie story, it's pretty good. The effects were interesting, and the dynamic of Supes and Luthor working together is always entertaining. But zombies bore me, and there's very little original about the entire thing, but there is some witty dialog, cool character moments, and great art. At least they didn't make a whole series dedicated to zombie versions of their heroes, unlike some companies.

This was pretty good. Used all of the characters well, especially Lex Luthor. Art was solid. Told a complete story in this edition, with plot lines left for more down the road. Good followup to Forever Evil.

A cool plot, seemingly high stakes, a fun quasi-zombie scenario, and some great art...

... and some very, VERY bad art. A couple of the middle issues look like amateur web comics. The shift in style isn't just jarring, it's almost embarrassing to look at. It gives the impression that the night before release they realized they forgot to draw the issue. And then they did it again in another.

Thankfully the last few issues revert to Fabok's awesome art, which gives the buildup to the finale the dire atmosphere it needs to make the concept work.

I love how Lex Luthor always sets himself up to look like the good guy, but the JL is never buying it. BUT then they start going deeper into his history and messing with him and you start thinking, "Maybe he's not that bad?" or "Maybe he's changing?". But that's exactly what he would want you to think, right?

This whole Power Ring thing is a bit confusing. I thought it was really powerful, but it seemed to be tamed really easily.

This I must say was the best volume for me of the “New 52” Justice League. Geoff Johns did an amazing job with issues #30-39 with bringing in Lex Luthor into the Justice League. At first it had a very similar feel of Marvel making Norman Osborne the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. after Secret Invasion, but Luthor seems better put together & smarter than Osborne. The idea of an Amazo virus to rid meta humans of their powers & inadvertently giving humans powers to only burn out their bodies as the 3rd & final stage of the disease was great.
There were some parts of this story I didn’t care for; ie Luthor figuring out Bruce’s identity. The idea of the secret identity seems like it’s becoming a bit of a waste. The whole Luthor making a deal with the Crime Syndicate’s Owlman. I didn’t read that volume, but am still sick of those characters & why aren’t they dead?
This is my last volume of Justice League & am now switching to another “New 52” title.

BOOM BABY! It's official. I no longer hate DC comics. In fact, I actually really like them again. Keep up the good work guys.
