Cash’s dad was shot in the back in Vegas and he and his brothers set out to find out who did it. Their investigation leads them to Jordyn’s father so they corner Jordyn in her apartment under the assumption that she is a man with plans to torture her and get information on her father.  Jordyn goes down swinging as she is kidnapped, but the instant chemistry and intrigue between her and Cash makes sparks fly as they clash and he lays claim to her even as he holds her hostage.

Read if you like revenge, kidnapping, spanking, when she calls him daddy, period play, mafia vibes, and a curvy girl.

I really enjoyed this book. The only thing I didn’t like was that she called him daddy or was expected to every single time. It was a little much for me. Asking her body guard, “Where’s Daddy?” kind of gave me the ick.

Thank you to Kate Oliver and The Smuthood for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

 ✨️✨️ ARC Review ✨️✨️

This was a gripping and emotionally grounded read that surprised me in all the right ways. From the opening chapter, Cash’s revenge-driven mission draws you straight in, but what really makes the story shine is the emotional nuance beneath the grit. Jordyn is a brilliant match – witty, layered and instantly likeable. Their chemistry develops slowly and naturally, avoiding overused tropes while still delivering on tension and payoff.

The family dynamics, particularly between the brothers, were a standout. It was refreshing to see male characters who are emotionally open without it ever feeling forced. The mystery thread is introduced early and, while somewhat predictable, remains engaging throughout.

The third-act conflict gave me pause (as it often does in romance), but it worked here – it felt honest and true to the characters. The reunion was quiet, grounded and far more powerful than any dramatic gesture would have been. Emotionally intense, but never tipping into melodrama.

This is the first book in the Savage Sins series, a collection of standalones within the same realm/family. This book is a dark billionaire romance that was strong Mafia/organized crime vibes. Thank you to the author and Grey’s Promotions for my eArc.
Tropes and themes include:
✨Morally gray MMC
✨Touch her and die
✨Daddy kink
✨Age gap
✨OTT possessive and dominant MMC
✨Captor/captive
✨Enemies to lovers
Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
Nicknames: “Kitten” “Daddy”
The Lovely: I loved the FMC, Jordyn. She’s feisty and sassy, with the smarts to back it up. As the CFO of her family’s casino empire she’s used to playing in a man’s world, even though her sexist father denies her a seat at the table. And this fires her up-which I loved to see.
The Mundane: I struggled with feeling like there wasn’t a true connection between the main characters. It felt like their physical relationship was all there was, partly due to the repetitive action in their relationship. We see, repetitively, how possessive the MMC is, his same punishments, etc. This left little room for them to explore other sides of their relationship.
Recommendation: While not a mafia romance in the truest sense, this book reads like mafia romance in terms of tension, threat of violence, morally gray men and steamy romance. This was a fun read, especially with the sort of “whodunnit” element. If you like a steamy dark romance with an over the top possessive MMC, I think you’d like this book.

Cash's world just turned on a dime when his dad was murdered. He is set for revenge against his father revel. When he goes to kidnap one of Kingston son Jordyn his world once again gets turn on a dime when Jordyn is a woman. THIS BOOK WAS AMZAING, The banter was off the chart. The way Cash took over as daddy and want to make sure Jordyn was taken care of while fighting an inner self of her being his enemy, I need all the Savage brothers I need more of this author.

I REALLY enjoyed the way this book was written. Cash Savage is exactly that - SAVAGE. He has no boundary he won’t cross and he worships Jordyn like the queen she is, all while making her scream “daddy”.
She is such a spitfire, and it makes for some good banter and even better spice.
So glad I received this as an ARC as this is my first Kate Oliver book - but definitely not my last!

This was my first read of a Kate Oliver book, and it was so good!! Who doesn’t love a Daddy!! The banter was on point and the spice was chefs kiss!! I’m so excited the next Savage brother!!

𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪:

It's always a bit tough for me to sit down and write a review that isn't bursting with praise, especially when I can tell an author has poured a lot of heart and effort into bringing their story to life. But when it comes to Kate Oliver's Savage Revenge, I have to be honest and say it just didn't quite connect with me in the way I hoped it would.

The idea behind the book, from the blurb, really sounded exciting and full of promise, but unfortunately, the characters and how their story unfolded just weren't for me.

I went into this book hoping for a dark, intense ride, the kind that keeps you on the edge of your seat with all the forbidden feelings. The whole revenge plot, taking the daughter of an enemy, it's a concept that can be so gripping in the right hands. And while the basic idea was there, I found myself struggling to really get lost in the world Cash and Jordyn inhabited.

Let's talk about Cash and Jordyn themselves. I really, really wanted to root for them, to feel their pain, their passion, their journey. But honestly, I found parts of their personalities and their interactions pretty cringey.

It was hard to truly immerse myself in their romance when certain things they said or did made me grimace a little. Sometimes characters just don't click with you, and that's okay, but with these two, it felt like there was a constant disconnect that kept me from fully believing in their connection. Their dialogue, their reactions, they just didn't always land right for me, making it hard to feel deeply for their predicament or their growing feelings.

The chemistry between them often felt more physical than emotional, At times, it seemed as if they were more wrapped up in their desire for each other than in building a true bond, something more than just the attraction that’s driven by revenge and lust.

And then there's a specific element that truly pulled me out of the story, and it's something I need to talk about. Look, in the privacy of the bedroom, within a fictional world, I'm completely open to different kinks and dynamics between consenting adults. Whatever works for the characters in their intimate moments is fine by me. But when certain "daddy" elements started creeping outside of the bedroom, into everyday conversations and situations, I just couldn't get past it. Seriously? Outside the bedroom? That was a definite, absolute no for me. It broke the spell of the story completely and felt incredibly out of place, making it very difficult to take the characters or their relationship seriously at those points. It truly made me uncomfortable and pulled me right out of any emotional investment I might have had.

The book had so much potential to be a powerful and thrilling read. But unfortunately, it just didn't become one of my favorites. It's not that it's a terrible book, but it simply wasn't my cup of tea. It didn't deliver the kind of emotional punch or character connection I usually look for in a romance.

If you’re a reader who enjoys dark romance stories with intense power dynamics and aren't bothered by the specific points I mentioned, you might find something to love here. But for me, this one didn't quite capture my heart.

Thank you to Grey's Promotions and Kate Oliver for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

So Cash kidnaps Jordyn from her apartment—like a completely sane, emotionally regulated man—and fully expects to interrogate her about his father’s murder. What he doesn’t expect? To end up with a mouthy little brat who pushes every single one of his buttons and looks damn good doing it.
Jordyn is unhinged in the best way. She’s sassy, smart, wildly bold, and refuses to be intimidated by the dangerously hot man holding her captive. Her brattiness? Untouchable. She can't be tamed. At least not Until she meets  Cash. Because let’s be real—only a Daddy-level dom with a no concept of personal space and a massive jealousy problem could ever stand a chance with this bombshell.
And Cash? Whew. This man is grief-soaked, rage-filled,  vengence -driven , and so far gone for her it’ would be embarrassing if it wasn't so freaking hot. He’s intense, unhinged, and ready to burn the world down for a girl he swears he doesn’t even like. (Spoiler: he’s obsessed.)
The chemistry? Explosive. The smut? Filthy and fantastic. The plot? Somehow packed with murder, revenge, found family chaos, and genuinely addictive twists without ever pulling back on the spice. It’s fast-paced, feral, and just the right amount of dramatic.
Read this if you’re into badass, powerful women who know how to brat like a pro,  dangerously obsessed Daddy Doms that worship their girl, and tension so thick you need a machete to get through it. Kate Oliver came for our throats with this one, and honestly? I’d let her do it again.

ARC Review: Thank you to Kate Oliver and The Smuthood for sending me a copy to read and review.

Is it Stockholm Syndrome, or is it love? I don’t care. I enjoyed it so much! This book convinced me that I need to be kidnapped by a daddy. This book had heart, humor, and spice.

Loved Jordyn. She’s been kept on the sidelines her whole life purely because she’s a girl. Her younger brother has a higher position in the family business just because he was born a boy, and she’s been convinced her whole life that she’s less than. I love a book where the FMC isn’t supermodel skinny, but is worshipped by the MMC. Jordyn is feisty, and she holds her own against Cash and his brothers. I enjoyed seeing her finally letting her walls come down and let Cash care for her.

Cash is ruthless, but for Jordyn he’s a softie. He’s possessive and he will kill any man who even looks at Jordyn wrong. When she disobeys him though, all bets are off. She was supposed to be the enemy, but he couldn’t resist her. I loved seeing the softer side of Cash. Often times in dark romance the MMC has a horrible childhood, but this was the exact opposite. It was so refreshing

Here we go... another author whose backlist I'm adding to my TBR and preordering the 2nd book in this series already.

This book is go, go, go from the outset, which I absolutely love. If a book isn't gripping me by the throat within the 20-35 pages, it doesn't bode well (aka I'll be DNFing). But here? The pace is wildly fast - that may be a drawback for some and does hinder the plot a couple of times, but it keeps your attention. Remember, this is a romance, we're suspending belief in some instances and we love our dark heroes.

And kinky? It's here and it's written well. Let's be honest, daddy kink is one those things that can very easily become cringe, yet K. Oliver writes it so well. No skipping over chunks of text or reading through your fingers because you're cringing. It just worked. The spice is downright filthy and Cash (MMC) is that unhinged alpha when it comes to Jordyn (FMC). And Jordyn... feisty and sassy. Definitely not who or what Cash was expecting, which makes this all the more fun to read!

🔥Daddy Kink
🔥Age Gap
🔥Dark themes
🔥Kidnapping
🔥Mafia vibes
