We finally get more understanding on who Rian, Matthieu, and Allistair are and who they are to Ilsa. Because in book one, we were left not knowing much about these three supernatural beings and the book went to a different realm where Ilsa was forced to be in.

Ilsa is still very much in a different realm and married off into a harem with her mates she’s come to love and adore.
Reule, Caelan, Maalik, and Audun.
The language barrier is still very much there and an issue however, they make it work and somehow they get to the wedding and have a ceremony where they end up connecting on a deeper level.

This is one of those rare times where I cannot stand the heroine of a book(s). Isla’s personally is hit or miss for me. It’s the main male characters that I feel truly carry this series.

I’ve enjoyed the relationship between her mates that we’ve come to know more of but the MM scenes are a bit cringy. I love my gay romances! But this wasn’t it.
They are on a war path to figure out what happened to Ilsa. The fourth and final mate of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Ilsa really has no idea the agonizing emotion and fear and guilt these men have because she’s in a different realm, fell in love with other men, and is a sex fiend to her husbands.
It’s … an interesting series.
I’d like to continue the series to see where everything goes.

Ok read

I'm on the the fence with this one. So first let me start with what I liked. I like the storyline itself. The writing is well done. I like Isla and her guardians. I even like Rian and Matt. It was frustrating with the continued language barrier between Isla and her guardians but I found this part of the story realistic as well, if that makes sense.

My biggest issue was Alistair. To me he is an unlikable character. I disliked him in book 1 and this book just made it worse. He's weak, dependent, completely selfish and even with his mates and his slap in the face realizations he doesn't have a redeeming quality. I mean he worships Isla, but it's unhealthy and he would throw her over if it was more convenient. Even though she's always defended him and basically keeps a roof over his head.

I'm still going to pick up book 3 because, as I said, I like the premise and world building so I'm curious as to how it's going to end. Honestly though it would have been better if Alistair and Isla hadn't shared mates but we'll see how that works out.

Another great addition to the series

I don’t know what it is about Willow Hadley‘s books but I feel like they are just so… Cute. I feel happy while reading them even though I probably shouldn’t during some parts. The only thing that wasn’t so cute was the cliffhanger at the end of this book. We were warned that it was going to be worse than the first and that was quite accurate. I didn’t want to throw my Kindle but the book ended so seamlessly that it took me a second to process that it ended. Just a warning.

I really enjoyed the first book of the series but I think I enjoyed this book even more. I love all of the different point of views that were used and the fact that we were traveling back-and-forth between different realms and seeing what was happening at different times. It’s not like everything was forgotten, there were effects and we were finally able to see what exactly those effects were.

While I do like the characters I think that the progress of the story and what is happening to the characters has captivated me more. It’s not like there’s a lot of personal growth happening, it’s more solving problems, getting to know each other, understanding the world more etc. This journey has been fantastic.

Like I said, I have really enjoyed the series thus far, it’s an easy read that will keep you interested the entire time. This book was a perfect read to sit by the pool and relax.

If you ever wondered what Alistair, Matthieu and Rian were going through during the events of Of Moons And Monsters, you don’t have to wonder any longer! In this one, we get Al/Matthieu/Rian POV’s as well as Isla and the guys’! Plus a surprising extra one that I’m sure you’ll like!

Book 2 focuses a lot more on working out the plot, plus on things on Alistair’s end. Although we do get a lot of Isla and the guys’ POV’s though, so don’t worry. The timeline was sometimes a bit weird because of the switching around in POV’s, but nothing too bothersome.

While Alistair is definitely a mess, I loved getting to see more of him and can’t wait for the reunion. I’m superexcited for book 3 since there’s a bit more of a cliffhanger at the end of this one! I can’t wait.

All I can say is that this cliffhanger sucks! So excited for the next installment but heartbroken at not having a release date

This book was amazing. I love how Isla's men are working to better understand her and help her get back to those she cares about. You can tell that both sets of her mates love her and care about her and both want to protect her while doing what's best for her. I enjoyed seeing what was happening back home in Isla's realm so you could kind of see what was going on behind the scenes. I can't wait for book three when everything comes to a head.
