Mickey/Roman and Bella are a beautifully broken couple, and the book really does start off with a bang. I felt that there was something missing. I can't really put my finger on what I felt was missing exactly though honestly. It was hard for me to get over Bella's "woe is me" attitude that lasts the entire book. Mickey has only what I would describe as a very processive sour patch kid attitude. I would have loved some more of their story after they got their fake IDs and started their lives together after all the chaos.
This is the second book I've read by Avina St. Graves and I do truly enjoy her writing style.

3.5 Stars. I wanted to love this so much more but after the 70%, I just found Bella really get on my nerves and the whole ringfighting subplot felt like it was there just for drama's sake. Tbh I think this would have worked better as a novella.

Początek był niezły i serio na początku myślałam że to lepsza wersja Little Stranger. No może trochę lepsze były i był potencjał, ale od połowy to było nijakie. Ile razy można słuchać jak Roman kocha Belle. Ja wiem, że on miał OBSESJE, ale autorka nie sprawiła, że czytelnik ma obsesje na punkcie głównego bohatera. 

Nie dałam rady polubić Belli. Ja wiem, że ona dużo przeszła, ale ona musiała mieć jakieś zaburzenia. Sama nie wiedziała czego chce, niby bała się o Jeremiego, ale Roman szybko sprawił żeby o nim zapomniała. Mam wrażenie że sam temat przemocy później został jakoś zbagatelizowany i od połowy książka stała się bardzo płytka.
