This book is very simple and short. It talks a lot about about our emotions, mostly anger and how to deal with them. Some sentence really put the spark in me, some sentence made me realize my seed of anger. It's a good book for those who want to read short books and help themselves.

Anger portion very helpful. Overall the book is good, not great. It's a condensation of ideas from his other books, I believe. Still, the advice inside is good.

This is a series of aphorisms and meditations to help us ground ourselves when faced with their own anger. There isn't really an overarching sense of "book", but it functioned more as a long 45 minute meditation on the nature of our own anger and the impact it can have on those we love. Thich Nhat Hanh's wisdom is rooted in Buddhism, but shares much with many other meditative practices and religious ideas. While nothing was overly revelatory, the gentle narration and the reminders of meeting our own anger before reacting to it were helpful during a time of inner turmoil.

Very short read - it was only a 45 minute audiobook.

Four stars because there was a lot of focus on marriage and handling the difficult emotions in a relationship. You’re still able to apply the advice elsewhere in life though
