I loved how this story is told. Lucky is telling her side of her many life stories on a podcast and it was like you’re really listening to her except your reading it, obviously. I really like her. There were a lot of parts that had me giggling. She doesn’t have the best track record with boyfriends and it was fun listening to her tell her many crazy stories. Then she meets Ollie. Oh, Ollie. I’m totally Team Ollie all the way. The only thing that made me feel a wee bit awkward was when they got to their one and only fun times. I felt like I was intruding on their fun. I know! I wanted to look away because she’s talking about it on her podcast and it just felt weird. I’ve never heard a juicy podcast like that before I tell you. I’m sure the audiobook would be great for these two books. But it’s fine, it’s just a me thing. My stone heart was beating pretty hard for Lucky and Ollie at the end. I can’t wait to hear his side of things in his book!

I wish I could travel and meet all the surfer hotties like Lucky has. Ollie seems like a interesting bloke who has more depth then we think.

OMG this was a new way to read a book.
It was odd, but then it became 'normal' and fun. I love Lucky. Though the repeated reminder of things was a bit annoying. But I get it.
I started Ollie's book right away.

Got an Arc and foolishly started reading this in bed on Friday night and then could not stop reading. I got sleepy and thought maybe I can put it down and get some sleep since it’s like 2am but nope...did not sleep until I finished every word.
I wasn’t sure what to expect of this book. I read the blurb but it doesn’t give too much away so I really tried to come in blind. And to say that this book brought me in is an understatement. I totally related to Lucky right off the bat. I remember being her age and having relationships similar to hers. I remember the days of swearing off these guys!
I like the format. It’s put forth as if you’re listening to Lucky do a podcast based on the events of the book. It felt very personal and really like you’re listening to someone just telling you a story.
I really love Lucky’s personality. She’s funny and snarky and witty and awkward all in one. I saw myself in so many different aspects of her personality.
I swooned over Ollie. He grew on me so much as the story went on. How he went from being a jerk to this thoughtful, considerate man. Maybe he was never really a jerk. And I can’t wait to hear his side of the story.
Now give me book 2!!!!

This is my favorite Max Monroe book to date. It was a new take on story telling for sure. They way the story was told made me feel as if I was actually tuning in with every new chapter.
I loved the banter between Ollie and Lucky. It had all the humor of Max Monroe with tons more swoon worthy moments for me.
I wish there was a more dramatic ending but I'm still super excited for book two!! I can't wait to get more Ollie.

Fun story but I didn’t realize it was a cliffhanger and my library wont have book two until/unless there is an audiobook so

Whoa! I wasn't ready.
To be honest, it took me a bit to get used to the format of the story - the story is told via Lucky recording a podcast series. Further, I listened to the audio version. The narrator did an AMAZING job, making it sound like someone actually recording a podcast, with the huffs, and giggles, and pauses, just like it would sound. I quickly became enamored with the story; it felt like I was actually listening to a podcast.
Of course, the story is fun, quirky, hilarious, and swoony - however ended on a cliffhanger.

So I did not realize this was a duology and it ends in a very unsatisfying way that I am compelled to read the second book to finish their story. Ugh, curse my OCD.
Honestly, I'm not sure if I really enjoyed the story. Firstly, I'm not sure about a podcast to air out your love life like that. It's super weird to listen to especially when she was describing their sexual encounter. I don't listen to podcasts, but is that something people do?! Seems really inappropriate especially when it's a podcast through her work as a "journalist."
In terms of the characters, I'm not a fan of Lucky or Ollie. So their romance was a bit meh for me, but it had some good moments.

What an unexpected journey from Max Monroe. I am usually prepared for humor and wit galore. Sarcasm in spades. I've even become prepared for some mystery and suspense thrown in there.
The Day I Stopped Falling For Jerks was a blend of all of the above, but... more. I'm not sure how to adequately convey how I'm feeling since finishing the book. Perhaps it was the podcast style of telling the story that made it feel different and new. I felt like I was having a conversation with Lucky and she was just telling me about her romantic adventures, err... misadventures... in love.
I feel like I was on the same page with Lucky throughout the story. I got the jerk vibe from Ollie, but just like our heroine, he started to show that he was more than meets the eye.
There were a few times that I wanted to smack some sense into both of them, especially Lucky, but, I can't say I would have done anything differently. I felt the intensity of her feelings as she describe them. To be fair, I might have done the exact same thing, even though it wasn't the best option.
The story definitely ends in a cliffhanger, and I am clamoring for more, especially if it's Ollie's side of the story. Max Monroe has a unique way of telling a story with this duet, and I am eager to read the conclusion. Thank goodness we don't have to wait too long for some closure.
