Minus the book having the cringiest cover model ever, this book was adorable, not my favourite in the series but definitely an enjoyable read.

This book is so slow. I'm not even sure why I finished it. All revolving around a playboy prince whose shenanigans have finally caught up with him.  His parents, the King and Queen feel the only way to save face is for the prince to marry and fast. Thus enters a reluctant little known princess with daddy/family issues who finds the prince less than. Back and forth should I marry the prince or not is 3/4 the book and gets old fast. Very little romance if that's what you like most about such books and even less steamy moments to be found. I gave it 2 Stars as I did finish it but I won't be reading anymore of the series.

This book is a cute story about a Swedish Prince whose life is thrown in turmoil because of his brothers sudden death.
He travels to try and get his head around the loss and meets a young woman who walks into his hotel room naked.
They meet again under crazy circumstances and a relationship begins. Call it fate.
"Never less, always more"

I would say that this book is alright but I would be lying.

In the beginning of the book we meet Maggie, the female main character. She explaining how she became legal guardian of her siblings. Then we Victor, the male main character, who has suddenly became heir apparent to the country of Sweden. Both characters are going through rough patch in their life but suddenly, Maggie with a hero streak saves drunk Victor. Which is the turn point for the both of them and that is when they are suppose to fall in love with each other. Which I believe the author thought would suppose to magically change their lives. They go back-and-forth multiple times and it is a bit wayward for me.

Additionally, one of the siblings is hurt while she is in Sweden and I donā€™t think that that needed to be in the story. I believe that it further the story but she didnā€™t need to go into graphic detail on how the sibling got hurt.

I think it is way too clichĆ© and ā€œby chanceā€ for me.

Where to start? Okay so. The premise of the book is that the ML (who is a complete stranger at this point) is passed out muttering words in Swedish at a bar that sheā€™s at. She unprovoked goes and helps out this stranger for absolutely no reason, and it just read so unrealistic and ridiculous. Especially because she constantly mentions how big he is and how dangerous it could be for her to be alone with a strange ā€˜drunkā€™ man. As a woman, why are you volunteering to take home a 6ft 5 huge man who is a)drunk b)a stranger c)A MAN. Thereā€™s actually no valid reason other than being on a suicide mission.

There was definitely a way to work around this issue whilst still keeping the premise the same. For example, the author couldā€™ve made the FL Swedish-American, that way it would at least somewhat justify why she helps him - because she could assume he doesnā€™t speak English and no one else will be able to communicate with him. Or better yet, she couldā€™ve been a nurse or a doctor who is asked by the cops (that the bartender calls to escort him out), to check thatā€™s heā€™s alright. Or even better, A SWEDISH-SPEAKING NURSE. But alas, she is neither Swedish nor a medical professional. She is simply, stupid. And horny (pls see next paragraph).

And get this ladies and girlypops, she not only approaches this man, but she also forces her friend to help her put him in her car (heā€™s still knocked out), SO SHE CAN TAKE HIM TO HER HOUSE TO SLEEP IN HER DEAD PARENTS BEDROOM, IN THE SAME HOUSE WHERE HER 4 UNDERAGE SIBLINGS LIVE (3 OF WHICH ARE GIRLS) OF WHOM SHE IS THE LEGAL GUARDIAN OF????? No seriously she deserves to be locked up for that. Her friend is even like to her "youā€™re not seriously going to take this stranger to a house where your siblings are? He could murder or rape them?" And sheā€™s just like "lol dc still taking him bc I canā€™t stop thinking that he has a big d*ck" (no seriously she doesnā€™t stop talking about his thingamajigy which she accidentally saw. Get this, in just the first 2 chapters, she says d*ck 14 times. FOURTEEN TIMES, in the FIRST TWO CHAPTERS and there were no sec scenes, it was literally just her talking about d*ck?). Anyway, Iā€™m never one for realism in books, but this surpassed unrealistic and skydived right into absolutely ridiculous and utterly idiotic. And I completely agree with the rest of the 1-star review girlyā€™s that she didnā€™t care about her siblings at all. Even when sheā€™s driving the passed out man to her house, she acknowledges that she shouldnā€™t be doing it because of her siblings being there, but sheā€˜s going to regardless because she just "has a feeling about him". I cant express the irritation I feel just writing that.

When he wakes up the next morning, she then offers to drive him to his hotel. Her brother rightfully protests and she gets mad at him saying verbatim "Heā€™s always been protective, but this is on another level."

SORRY? SOWRRY *in a Canadian accent*??????? Oh Iā€™m sorry your brother doesnā€™t want you in a car alone with an unknown 6ft 5, built man????? Sheā€™s actually such a freak, I canā€™t stand her.

Anyway, later that day she finds out heā€™s a prince (but he doesnā€™t know she knows) she asks to take a selfie with him on their first date (?) so she can prove to her friend that heā€™s the prince

So I was on Radish trying to earn free coins when I came upon this story called Royal Nanny. I started reading it and then I realized, this book had such refined writing and well developed characters so unlike the immature fan fictions or amateur writings on Radish. So I checked the name of the author and there it was. Karina Halle. No wonder the writing was great.

Karina Halle can expertly capture the true essence of romance in her books. Especially with the heroes hailing from an exotic European country. My god. They have amazing characterizations, jaded and haunted but enough love for their heroines. Iā€™ve read Racing the Sun and The Nordic King and I loved both them. They could successfully portray the relationship between people from two different places and culture.

About this book. It was amazing. Loved the storytelling and the characters. Maggie was such a typical Karina Halle heroine. Strong willed and ambitious. Not one to immediately swoon into the heroes arms. And then thereā€™s Victor. Such a sweet and beautiful man. I love how in each of her books, the heroes have this poetic dialogue to say how much he loves his woman.

Overall, great writing style, great characters and hot lovemaking scenes. Especially Victor murmuring those sweet nothings in Swedish. Omg so hot. And a little dirty talk. Loved this book.
