An interesting testament to how even in awful living circumstances, life is still life and some things never change. The knowledge of her fate only makes it more heartbreaking.

First of all, It feels weird to me to rate a personal diary. So, I didn’t give this book 5 stars because I thought it was a really great book. I gave it 5 stars because I think it’s a really important book. It represents a terrible time in our history.
Unfortunately, this was a slow read for me, but I expected this because of the fact that the family was hidden for 2 years. I knew there wasn’t going to be a lot of action.
The reason I started reading this book: I wanted an insight on what Anne (and many other jewish families) went through during this terrible time and her diary gave me this insight.
