This was an interesting read about managing your hormones with your lifestyle. Some of the advice was very practical and others extreme. At times the language was a little to over the top for me with lots of cheesey references and name drops of her practice. Still, a worthwhile read and something I'd consider holistically.

This was a book full of REALLY good information that I definitely will use and practice in the future but one thing that really thicked me off and was one of the reasons why I was dreading to continue taking it in my hands was the amount of self promotion. I get it, person has a lot of experience and knowledge but I really would have appreciated if it wouldn't be drawn to readers attention in every single chapter.

“Among even the smartest women I know, Sex Ed was first and last time they formally learned anything about their bodies, periods, and hormones; the rest has been picked up from magazines and friends.” Anyone else feel like Alisa Vitta was speaking directly to her? I admit that I was feeling embarrassed for this very reason when I finally got my hands on this library book, and Alisa’s intro immediately put me at ease. I found Woman Code fascinating, informative, and helpful. Alisa provides the scientific data to back her lifestyle recommendations and an app to track your choices (@floliving). I wish I had read this book in my twenties, but it’s still helpful as I approach my fortieth chapter. It’s amazing how many organs and systems are affected by hormones. Let’s normalize these conversations, shall we?

Weirdly, it left me with the feeling that I wanted "Big Magic" to leave me with, but it was about health. Very well written and nourishing. Alisa Vitti somehow gives you a welcoming hug through her writing. I will be going back to it.

Been interested in hormone health recently and this book was a great educational start. Very easy to read and understand. The author does a great job breaking it down and offering ways to support your hormones physically, nutritionally, mentally, etc… I mean it only makes sense to support your hormones with nutrition, exercise, sleep, etc… especially for females with our ever changing hormones. Would recommend this book to anyone and can’t wait to read her next book

This book is super helpful for any woman who is trying to take control of her health and hormones through the power of food. I haven't fully completed the Womancode protocol but it's a resource I've been referencing daily for months now!

This year I have had 3 pretty heavy health diagnoses, one an auto-immune disease and the other PCOS. While this book can at times be silly and self congratulatory, I found a lot of the information helpful. It’s an excellent resource if you’re concerned about balancing your hormones, curious about your endocrine system, and lost by how to care for your body after a hormone driven health diagnosis. While I wouldn’t rely just on this, it’s a great resource.

Good information and guidelines if you can get past the marketing/woman power stuff.
