Whew! Descent was a GREAT read! It's a full-length stand-alone romance in the wold of the Benedetti Mafia. It's my favorite kind, a hate/love romance, full of heart-stopping revelations, thrilling action, and smoking hot chemistry! I loved the characters, they were so consuming! Once I started reading I just couldn't stop. There's a lot of bad blood between these characters, a great storyline. Percy and Hades have so much sexual tension it's absolutely intoxicating! I loved them so hard! Hades is reaping his justice and trying to claim Percy for himself in the process. Persephone is trying to keep it all together and the only man she's secretly ever loved is out to ruin the Abbott name and consume her in the process. The line between hate and love is very thin and these two are inevitable. My heart broke so many times for Percy and her relationships, she really has such a good heart. Hayden killed me because when the twists hit, they really break apart so much for him. One of my favorite things was, I'm a huge lover of Greek Mythology and Everything Hades. So the references to the gods and comparing of Hades stealing Persephone really had me. I'm such a romantic! I really enjoyed this read and I loved the connection to Dom and Gia that we get! I think this book was a little lighter than I'm used to coming from Knight, But it was great and all the unexpected twists really keeps you on the edge of your seat. I look forward to more from Knight. I received an Arc in exchange for an honest review.

Descent by Natasha Knight is excellent! I loved Hayden "Hades" and Persephone and couldn't put the book down. This dark romance had some great twists and could never guess which way the story would turn next. Highly recommend!

This is my first read by this author and I completely plan to check out her other books! I loved the backstory and the added elements of mystery that slowly unravel as the story progresses. The characters were easy to like and the story was a good pace to where I didn’t get bored, nor did the story lack detail.

Family Secrects

Clearly, this was a enemies to lovers romance. With a mystery, component to it. While, at first the story pulled me in. As I love Greek Mythology, toward the end of the book. It kinda lost me, truthfully.

There was too much mystery behind Nora.
To the point, she kinda needed her own chapter.
Hell, I was more intrigued by Nora’s mystery than the actual novel.

But I forged on, till my eyelids got heavy, from utter boredom. I just had to finish and now. I’m just like.. that’s it? Clearly, we all knew Hades loved Persephone
And, while the lead heroine had her moments.

I was kinda just over them. Also, and this is just me being a jerk. Hades avenging Nora was funny to me.
Didn’t he perform fallacio on Persephone, when he rescued her on Halloween?

He told her he was 24 at the time, so make it make sense? Also, had I known this story would of took on such a uncomfortable topic, I would of passed, like messing with kids is just gross and reading about it. No matter how subtle the author was, made my stomach turn.

All in all, this book is about sick, rich people, who keep terrible secrets and are hang up on the past. And badly planned out revenge

Natasha Knight has become one of my favourite authors of all times. Her writing and characters are so addictive that I can’t pass on any story that she’s writing.
Nothing less than spectacular about this new mafia stand-alone love story. It’s a mythical love as Hayden and Persephone old mythology story.
Each one wants something different from the other, one is seeking revenge while the other is falling apart as her world as she knew it, is coming to an end.
They push each other’s buttons to the extreme and the way the author has written it, it’s just the perfect mix of steamy, twists and suspense.
Another story to fall in love with.

This was not what i expected to be honest.

I love Natasha Knight, i'm a big fan of her's so reading her books is always an amazing experience. However, Descent was not it for me. I don't know what it was but it felt lacking. it didn't make me breathless like her books usually do. i don't know what to expect with her so its always a surprise. Whenever i read her books i'm always at the edge of my seat, but this one did not have that effect on me.
Nevertheless, it was nice and i kinda enjoyed it.

Natasha Knight never ceases to amaze me. Her ability to weave together and master a dark romance will always have my mind captivated. With each book I read of hers, the more I fall in love with her way of telling a story and Descent was just as amazing as the rest of her books.

In Descent, without going into too much detail...
Persephone and Hayden's story had me flipping page after page, the hair on the back of my neck stood up, my butt on the edge of the seat and holding my breath as the author threw me into a story full of so many plot twist.

Persephone was different. Not the usual heroine's I read about in this book. She may of came off as weak but she was everything other than weak and has the story progressed, I could see the strength she had. Her world was up-hauled and she had no choice than to fight her way through it and fight it the only way she knew how.

Hayden comes off as cold, hard, and not a man you want to mess with. He was twisted and had my mind reeling with the things he was doing and saying. He was out for revenge and once he had set his mind on that... That was the person it created. A cold, hard, and callous man...

What transpired throughout this book left me speechless. I can normally guess where a dark romance will lead but with Ms. Knights books that's never the case. She continues to throw me off track and just when I finally start to work things out, or so I thought. She will drop me into a plot twist that throws me completely off.

I loved this book! There's nothing quite like a Natasha Knight book. It was dark, gritty, delicious, twisted, addictive and all-consuming and had my attention from page one, all the way through to the end.
This author cannot write a bad book!

5 Stars!

I need to remember not to start reading late any book by Natasha Knight, I couldn't put this down until I finish it at 4 am! Needless to say, it's absolutely fantastic. You get a mix of mafia and Greek mythology mixed in this story about Persephone and Haden (Hades). It will hook you with all the enemies to lovers action packed angst, with all the dark side of a sexy antihero. It's a must read definitely and I am sure Natasha Knight will become a one- click author for you as it is for me now. Superb 5 star!
