[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Saints Like Him is the third book in the Redemption Ridge series. Cash Sweeney has been fortunate to make his way from ex-con to billionaire and have his ranch to help others find their new way. He’s also had the chance to watch his family find love. Where he comes up short is being so deeply in love with his best friend, Nick Scott, but afraid to take it further. Nick Scott is so relieved to finally be home on the ranch with his best friend. He has also been harboring intense feelings for Cash but the time has never been right. The stars seem to have aligned and the two men find themselves willing to give being together a chance, but outside forces are pushing back at their newfound happiness.

Cash Sweeney has a heart of gold and is willing to settle for happiness being found with his family on the ranch and in the friendship he has developed with Nick over more than a decade. He is so afraid that his feelings would scare Nick away that when Nick comes forth with strong declarations of a future together, Cash hesitates. Nick doesn’t take his hesitation as a bad thing and finds himself dedicated to proving how good they could be together. Nick has returned to the ranch to heal not just physically but mentally as well and decide what his future holds. The only thing he knows for certain is that Cash is his past, present and future.

“Seeing those clothes in the suitcase this morning was the epiphany I needed. You wanted me to be sure, and the evidence was right there in front of me. No what-ifs or maybes. I’ve been yours since we met.”

This addition to the series made me so very happy. Cash and Nick have so many levels to their intimacy that shines brightly in their interactions in and out of the bedroom. I love that they have this established friendship that builds into more. I appreciated that their relationship was relatively low angst and although not perfect, we didn’t get unnecessary conflict. The found family at the ranch want nothing more than to see their boss happy and welcome Nick with open arms. The continued strife with the religious cult hits its boiling point with the ranch and its workers not coming out unscathed. We have two pending books hinted at and I just can’t wait to see more MCs get their HEA.

4.5 stars for Cash and Nick allowing themselves to bask in their happily ever after.

Okay first, I adore this series. Like seriously am head over heels for it. So when I heard Cash was getting a book, you can believe I was excited. A lot of best friends to lovers hit my feels but have way too much "do they/don't they" angst for me. It was such a relief to not endure that here. Yes, there was still tension and uncertainty, but the pay-off wasn't held hostage from the reader until the very end and for that, I am so grateful.
Add into that an amazing background plot with twists I somehow didn't see coming and I couldn't help but be hooked. I read this all in one day and know that it will join the rest of the series in my frequent re-reads list.
The tease of Rue and Seth was *chef's kiss* and I can't wait for Own and Tyler to get their mess settled. As for Keegan...I really hope we get a book for him as well.

Such a great book. Love the friends to lovers trope. Glad Nick and Cash got their act together.

This book has a different feel to the others in the series and I think it's because Cash and Nick had history. It was about reconnection and rekindling what they started before. Neither had been ready to take a chance on love before; until a series of events makes everythings else insignificant compared to being together. The chemistry was there from the start and as a reader I wanted it to move quicker but these two MC's knew they had to get it right this time; this meant taking it slow. The p issing contest between Nick and Burke was amusing and their common interest on law enforcement brought them together when the troublesome cult caused more trouble. This adds an element of unrest, rather than angst. The Burke and Rue story will be a fun one, I'm looking forward to it. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

"So this is what it's like to date you, Saint."

"No, Nicky, this is what it's like to be loved by me."

Holy freaking swoon. And I'm not even talking about that cover because that is swoonworthy all on its own. I am talking about this utterly romantic love story written by Walker. Cash and Nick's romance was a beautiful thing to read. Though there is some outside angst, the majority of the story focuses on these two best friends finally admitting their long held feelings for one another. It was just so lovely.

"You're my home, and I've been gone too long."

I loved how once their true feelings were finally on the table neither of them held back. They'd already waited twelve years. There was no point wasting any more time. Nick slotted into life on the ranch like he'd living there for years. Like he was always meant to be there. And he made Cash so freaking happy. After everything that man had done for everyone else, it was high time he had something just for him.

I'm happy that Cash's story isn't the end of the line for this series. Travis and Owen are next in [b:Friends Like Them|200977262|Friends Like Them (Redemption Ridge, #4)|Aimee Nicole Walker|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1698580219l/200977262._SY75_.jpg|205843808]. They are another pair of best friends who've been dancing around one another way too long. We also meet the sexy sheriff in town whom a certain someone has their eye on. I'm looking forward to their story too because I have a feeling Mr. Sexy is not going to be prepared for what's coming his way.
