Enjoyed it a lot. It was also nice to see characters from the other books pop in, even if I had trouble remembering the details of their books. I do now want to read Lola and Wulfric's book and I hope it comes out soon.

The Grumpy Billionaire had me chuckling at some point besides the point this was a cute book with some steamy parts.

ARC review 4.5 stars

This book is a hot and entertaining romance that shows the love, loyalty, and forbidden desires of the workplace in Wall Street.

The book follows one of the most feared men on Wall Street, a math genius, Hugo, with walls strong enough to withhold a demolishing. However, one person is able to crack those walls, Stella his best friend's little sister whom he made a promise to never date, but things change when she starts working for him.

I loved how they were total opposites, yet fit each other perfectly. The grumpiness is challenged by the sunshine that is Stella. Hugo is a complete perfectionist and Stella takes the leap without looking first. The tension between the two is beautifully written. I loved the growth between them as a couple and them as individuals. However, at the end Stella did annoy me by how she treated Hugo and how she didn't take accountability for her part. Overall, I loved this book and will be reading more by this author.

I've only read a couple of stories from this author but can confirm that this is a standalone, full length novel with a HEA.
I ended up enjoying this more that I expected at the beginning. I was underwhelmed at the start of the story but I warmed to the quirkiness of Stella and the way that Hugo tried so hard to be 'normal'. There was great interaction between them and while my favourite scene involved being fully clothed in a shower the romance between them did feel a bit rushed - from nothing to everything very quickly.
I liked that it gave me that 'behind the looking glass' feeling when you suddenly have the character seeing things from the other perspective after a lifetime of thinking about things a certain way.

This was so cute!!! My first book by Annika and definitely won’t be my last. Brothers best friend trope is my favorite so you already know I had to read this!

Hugo and Stella have grown up together, so they’ve known each other for years. And Stella’s crushed on him her whole life, but they haven’t seen each other in 10 years when Hugo moved to NYC. After Stella’s boyfriend dumps her, she gets her dream job and moves to NYC. Only to have the job offer rescinded the day before she is supposed to start with no explanation.

Much to her dismay, her parents get her a job at Hugo’s company. But under the condition she has to pretend not to know him. But who set that condition? Does Hugo not want to interact with her? Or is her family trying to intervene?

Hugo is a perfectionist, and Stella is a wild thing. But opposites attract right? This was so cute and I loved how their story played out!!

Hugo and Stella were ✨ amazing ✨ . Definitely opposites attract- and some serious grumpy/sunshine ☀️. I love their dynamic, and their past. Brothers best friend. One of my favorite tropes. Hugo tried so hard to fight his attraction to her- and it was cute and funny. I loved the book so much. It was my first book by this author, and I can’t wait to read more!
