It is an okay book.. the cursing is a lot but you can guess that from the name. I was expecting some crazy insane ways to cope with all anxiety, trauma, anger, etc.. there are coping mechanisms but nothing new or different that what is now considered "common knowledge"!?

This was a pretty solid introduction to explaining mood disorders. I definitely learned some interesting information about anxiety and trauma. I knew going into this that there would be swearing but at some points it just felt like the author was being extra with all the profanity to seem edgy. Although, I respect the author ability to explain complex topics in a simplistic manner that easy to understand which was helpful. Solid 3 stars.

the audio on this book was terrible but the content was interesting. very simple writing which in some ways helped get the points across easily and other times it was a bit annoying the oversimplification. overall through it did feel like a long therapy appointment where i actually understood the science behind brains and that was the goal so id say it was a solid read

Audible had a really terrible recording of this book.. but outside of the terrible quality it was overall an enjoyable book. I wish my therapist would be able to talk to me like she does. A little cursing here and there makes it feel less stuffy and brings the information down to a human level. Nothing earth shattering in the book, but did make me feel less like a fucking mess.

Could not get into the style of writing/speaking, seemed to be more preachy then helpful
