First of all, I’m never listening to tik tok again. Maybe it’s just that “dark romance” is not for me, but this book was one of the worst books I’ve ever read. Whit was an insufferable character, and Summer just the same. They lacked chemistry and while reading you actively root for them to stay as far away from each other as possible. The dialogue was so cringe and aggressive, and its even more insane that they are SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL. I felt violated reading this book and I wish I could erase it from my memory.

Well.. This was a hell of a ride.
First of all I have to say, that I enjoyed this book 'til Whit said "she was asking for it by the way she dressed"
That made everything good fade away.
WHOEVER NEEDS TO HEAR IT..
YOU DON'T ASKED FOR IT JUST BECAUSE OF YOUR CLOTHES!
This whole relationship is more than just toxic.
I read after by Anna Todd and I thought Hardin is toxic. He is but compared to Whit he's a little lamb.
Sylvie disappointed me the most. She turned just like her mother. Something she never wanted.
I suspected that her mother would give me something that she is constantly sick and after it was confirmed I wanted to throw up.
I'm a mom myself. I have two little girls. I could never, NEVER do such thing to them.
All in all the whole Lancaster family is a really big mess and has problems over problems which I guess they never ever get rid of.
The writing was nice though. I like Monica Murphys style. But victim shaming ruined it all for me.

This book was sweet chaos. I don’t read too many bully romances anymore, but this is everything I look for when I do.

Whit & Summer were straight fire and I didn’t realize how much I needed them. The mouth on Whit made me salivate. It hurts so good. I loved the cat and mouse games the played with each other. Summer truly goes through the ringer in this book. Emotional trauma, bullying, manipulation! This was all the toxicity I need. The spice was top tier. Loved every minute of Whit & Summer’s story.

Please hold my phone while I go jump off the nearest roof.

probably the worst book i’ve ever read

Okay so I typically don’t go for bully romances because usually I just end up getting annoyed at the heroine for putting up with all his crap. But I will say I enjoyed this. I was glad that the bullying was never taken too far. That the heroine did know what she deserved even if she couldn’t stay away from him.

I read a million kisses in your lifetime and decided to come back and read Whit and Summers story because I was very interested from the little bits you hear of them in that book and I was not disappointed.

I enjoyed both Whit and Summer together and much as I did as their own character. They’ve both grown up dealing with parents who have given them reasons to be the way they are. Low on affection, high on drama and trauma. This book was long but it never truly felt long. I loved to watch their growth as people and how much they had changed towards the end of the book from the beginning. The plot was interesting. The character growth was great to see. I loved the ending and the separation they have before they get back together. I really enjoyed that the other didn’t immediately fix everything with no groveling.

I do wish we got a Summer and Sylvia reunion so I’m hoping she does get her own book.
