One little 5-year old is the glue for this story

I could not fet enough of Faith! I know a few little girls just like her and it was wonderful to read. The standard fake girlfriend for Christmas got a fun twist. Also a lot of rich/poor different worlds kind of stuff. But for all the clichés I sure enjoyed this one. Laughed out loud a few times. Such a cute story. Merry Christmas!

Holly and Faith were some of my fave book characters of all time. Faith alone made this a 5-star book, and she's only 4. She was sweet and sassy and far too smart for the people around her. Holly was dedicated and hardworking and did everything she could to give Faith the best education around. The things she did to make money make so much sense from the perspective of a mother. Archie was a bit desperate and stuck up but it's nice to see his evolution during the story.

This was such a cute, fun read! The love story between Holly and Archie was so heartwarming and felt so real. Add in precocious little Faith and you have a recipe for a great read.

I’m not super into Christmas themed books but this one was cute and I enjoyed the grumpy-sunshine trope. Billionaire workaholic MMC Archie originally swears off love, until he meets the FMC. The FMC is a sweet girl who’s put her life on hold to care for her mum with dementia, and her niece, who’s been orphaned due to a car accident. The precocious niece in this story is one of the few times I felt the child character actually adds to the story rather than being poorly written. I liked the dynamics between the characters and thought this was a nice, fluffy, feel good story. Archie was definitely a highlight too!

This book was adorable. And precious. And funny. What a feel good story to read to start the year off!!

I love Hallmark movies, especially their Christmas movies. Mistle Text should seriously be made into just that… a Hallmark Christmas movie so I can watch it year after year! Because this will be a book I read year after year.

The characters in this story are well thought out and they each have a major role into how this story is formed. This novel, for me, was so well written that I could place myself within the pages to live it myself.

Thank you to NetGalley, Whitney and Melanie for allowing me to read this novel for an honest review!

"I promise I'm going to prove myself to you, Holly. If it's the last thing I do, I'm going to show you that I'm worth the risk."

This book was quite hilarious! It was sort of a mashup of Hallmark Christmas, Annie, A Miracle on 34th Street and Pretty Woman for me. I know that's a mouthful lol. Archie, Holly, and little Faith have really great chemistry together and they absolutely warmed my heart. Faith is five going on sixteen. This girl is so cheeky and had me in stitches. And while I loved the attraction between Archie and Holly, I did wish there was more buildup in the romance, but overall this was a cute, laugh out loud, lighthearted Christmas read!

Read if you like:
- dual pov
- grumpy + sunshine
- fake relationship (family?)
- rags to riches
- aunt/niece guardian dynamics
- heroines with hearts of gold
- Christmas in NYC
- hilarious grand gesture
-🌶 a couple kisses

A woman who is raising her niece alone and is barely making any money but along comes a rich guy who needs help in a personal matter. Can these two people see eye to eye in what really matters… family.
Sorta kinda felt like the story was rushed at the end.

This was a very cute story. I definitely gives off the Christmas vibes. I took off a star because I get very annoyed when a character is so dense to their feelings otherwise it would have been 5 starts.

When billionaire Archie hires Holly as his professional shopper during the Christmas season, he expects the relationship to remain strictly professional. But after a health scare turns his boss into a family man, Archie needs a fiancée if he wants to be named as the man's successor. Holly is the perfect choice. Not only is she beautiful, clever, and kind, she's raising her precocious five-year-old niece. Instant family. Archie doesn't expect to develop feelings for Holly. He's just like his father—all business. Marriage isn't in the cards for him. Can Holly change his mind?

This book is much more than I expected. Whitney Dineen and Melanie Summers are so great at writing comedy, sometimes I forget how well they write emotion, too. These characters are SO real. Holly is desperately struggling to stay afloat after her mother's dementia and her sister's death forced her to put her dreams on hold. But she soldiers on, making a good life for Faith, her niece, as best she can. It's hard not to sympathize with her situation. Archie has so much chemistry with both Holly and Faith, it's clear he belongs with them. From witty banter to family scenes that tug on your heartstrings, this is a perfect Christmas romance.

Thanks, Booksprout, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
