I was sooo excited to get reapproved/archived date changed for this book! When I was originally approved to this egalley I missed the archived date and didn't get a chance to read it, so Christian and Mallory and Moncriano where sitting it my head unfinished!! I really enjoyed diving back into this world and finally following these characters. Christi Barth did a great job of wrapping all the loose ends in the story and creating a wonderful ending for these characters! I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

Trigger warning: childbirth, PTSD

This was good, not a drama free story but instead it has a ton of problems, challenges, and growth. The characters had depth and back story problems. I enjoyed the different POV to keep the story moving and give us other thoughts.
My only problem was the main drama goes back around to her reproductive organs for the whole book. It got old and repetitive and people who have trouble getting pregnant may not enjoy this book at all.

This is the third installment into a companion novels series. You do not need to read the first two to read this one. (That's what I personally did as this one was the one that really interested me)

I was super excited to read this novel, I knew going in that this was most probably going to be a cookie cutter type of story, following the mold and including an happily ever after. And it was, I had a wonderful time reading it, it took me out of what could've ended up being a reading slump and made me laugh and smile the whole time.

You follow a dual point of view, one of them is Malory (our main character in this novel, whom is the sister or adoptive sister of Kelsey the lost princess of a kingdom (read the first volume of this series to have her love story)) she is an "All American" type of girl, she loves fundraisers/charity planning and from what we get as explanation from the events of the past two novels, recovering from an attack in which she got shot in the stomach. Our second perspective is the Crown Prince, heir to the throne Christian (Kelsey's brother) who is currently acting as king instead of his father.

The story really pick up when they are alone (sort of) for the first time in a bar, which is a bar for the secret service who protect the royals, and have a game of darts. They have this tangible sexual tension and chemistry, they are equally attracted to one another but do not want to act on it as he has to marry a "noble girl, proper to be queen of the country. To be chosen from a list of candidates approved by the council." and Kelsey who is his younger sister and Malory's younger sister as they were raised as sister for 24 years until she was discovered as the kidnapped lost princess.

I loved the banter in this book, I was captivated from page one, and while it was not a story with mystery or intrigue I had a wonderful time reading it. I was hurting for Malory when she had a fight with Kelsey, mad at the council when their love story was doomed from the start and felt compassion for Christian who did not believe he would get an happily ever after.

This book is a fast read, I read it in one sitting, which is exactly how I like these type of stories to go. While it is nothing life changing, or "never seen before", but it is well made and captivates your attention making you unable to put it down. If you love to read modern royalty romances, with some smut and a whole lot of feelings, this is the book you should read. It will surely put a smile on your face.

Overall a wholesome story 4/5 stars.

This book is part of a series. I haven’t read the others, however I didn’t feel like I needed to In order to understand. The author does a great job of going you the background that you need. This book is written in plain language. I also found it to be a very easy read. Overall I would rate it a 3.

I received an ARC of this book for a unbiased review.

This was a fun read. Christi Barth's writing is accessible and I mean that as a compliment. This book is easily digestible and also captivating. There are a lot of things I really enjoyed about this book. The characters were well developed and whilst I hadn't read the other books in the series I felt like I knew enough about them to understand their motivations and quirks. As the series is supposed to work as standalones I think the author really nailed with providing enough information for me to be informed without boring a reader who had read the other books. The commitment phobe side of me did find myself shouting "you've only been together a month" a few times but to be cliche you know when you know. As for why I didn't score this book higher I don't know if I can give definitive answer there was just a little something missing for me and I can't pin point what it is.

I was given a NetGalley arc in exchange for an honest review.

I've struggled with what to rate this book because I thought it was better than a 3 but not quite a 4. 3.5? 3.75? This was a charming conclusion to the Sexy Misadventures of the Royals trilogy, but it left me wanting more. First, I felt like I was missing the sexy banter and sexual tension that Barth does so well. The fact that Mallory and Christian sleep together in the first chapter threw me for a loop, especially after Mallory being absent in the second book. I felt like we were missing part of their attraction and the fighting of that attraction that we saw with the first two books. I did enjoy seeing them together as a couple and I felt that those scenes worked really well. Perhaps my favorite parts were getting more of the interactions of Christian and Elias and Mallory and Kelsey. I would've loved more Genny and Theo and it wasn't until the very end that we got to see the six characters interacting with each other. I loved that Mallory stood up for herself and what she wanted and even that she put the kingdom first, which if you ask me proved beyond a doubt that she will make a perfect queen. I still feel that the first book is my favorite in this series, but I was happy to finally get the story I've been waiting for since the beginning of the series. This was the perfect bedtime book to finish off the month.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this arc in exchange for an honest review. Though I hadn't read any of the previous books in the series, Tempting the Prince was quite easy to follow and get on track with. The writing flowed very easily from start to finish and the storyline was not overly complicated. That being said, I had trouble caring about any of the characters. I felt they lacked a lot of depth and definitely needed more time given to writing their backgrounds. It is because of this that I didn't enjoy this book as much as I was hoping. The characters seemed to spend so much time running around in circles and the romance itself wasn't developed well. There may have been more significant moments in the previous two books between the two characters, but I am going off of what information had at my disposal throughout the book. For the amount of things that happened within the book to only occur within a few months was also hard to grapple with. The romance between the two main characters really only spanned a few weeks. I did really like the how part of the plot was centered around the fathers abdication and the struggles alongside that. I would have loved if that had had more of a prominent focus from the start. That and the sisterly bond between Mallory and Kelsey.

While the physical development of this romanctic relationship wasn't a huge appeal to me, I did enjoy reading the conclusion to this trilogy and seeing a very level headed, honest and practical main female character to balance out the prince and future king in this story. I especially enjoyed the epilogue, a very satisfying conclusion for all three couples in this trilogy.

This was a super cute read and I absolutely loved the characters and writing style. I love romantic comedy books, so I knew prior to reading it that I would probably get pulled in and be unable to put it down. Boy was I right! The banter between the main characters absolutely killed me (in a good way)! It felt natural and not forced, which I appreciated as sometimes it can come off in a cringe worthy way.

I also really enjoyed that you got to see both sides of the main characters point of view. I normally am not a fan of that, but the author did a really good job of transitioning and making it feel more natural. By doing this, we really got to see the more negative side to being a royal which was enlightening as I feel like many authors tend to focus on the perks and not how difficult of a task it would be to rule a country.

My only negative is that this wasn't really showcased as a third installment of a series but rather a stand alone. Having not read the prior two books, I can definitely say that it would be beneficial to read those as there were times where I felt like I was missing some background and world building which may have been covered in the first two.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I will definitely be picking up the other two as I am curious to know more about the other characters those focus on and to see the full picture.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary eARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes. I'd like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for providing me this opportunity!
