Super fun and naughty beach read! I found Tyler and Christine to be an irresistible couple and could not wait to see how their HEA came into being!
I enjoyed the whole wedding party’s cast of characters and might have to read more of the series!

Flying through this whole series...certainly fast reads and very, very fluffy. I am honestly not sure why I keep reading all of these...2 a day, it seems. Partly I am really feeling the need for escape and zero mental energy and these fit that bill and partly cause I love the premise of one set of related people, stories ebb and flow together and authors or different. This one didn't really hang together totally...all kinds of random details that were completely and totally unnecessary floating around and the whole story and angst were a bit light. This wasn't my favorite of the set...neither male nor female lead really appealed to me.

For one I didn’t love the writing. For two the consent lines were nonexistent and that made me uncomfortable. Third the continuity made no sense. Fourth it was so tell not show that I didn’t care about the characters cause we got no inner monologue. Overall it’s a romance that was just trying to get to the end goal. Plus the MMC made me uncomfortable. He was too controlling.

Falling for the Groomsman by Diane Alberts is the first book in the Wedding Dare Series that centers around Kady and Colt's wedding from Dare to Resist by Laura Kaye. This series is all based around their wedding and each novella can be read as standalones with interconnected characters. I really enjoyed seeing Kady and Colt fall in love and would suggest starting at the beginning but it wasn't necessary. Falling for the Groomsman features Kady's friend Christine and Kady's brother Tyler.

Christine is a journalist that is getting ready to move back to Maine where she is from. She makes a list of sexual goals for herself to complete while at her friend's wedding to loosen her up a bit. But when she crashes into the sexy Tyler, she realizes that her list needs some changes made. Tyler took her virginity years before while they were on a trip to Mexico with friends and then left her right after apologizing to her. Tyler is determined to win her over after his mistake years ago, but Christine has ideas of making him pay. Can Tyler and Christine get over the past and find a way to turn their undeniable connection into something more for the future, or will there be too many obstacles for them to overcome?

Tyler and Christina both had their moments for me. I liked them at times, and then others they irritated me. I felt like both of them reacted horribly at times and that they both were a bit immature about things. They wouldn't listen to each other most of the time, and jumped to conclusions while running away from each other. But I did like them together and thought that they had really great chemistry. They were really hot together, and I was rooting for them to figure things out all along. I enjoyed some of their banter though, and the way that they interacted when they weren't sniping at each other. I also thought it was cute that Tyler called her Red because he wanted something that was just his for her.

While I felt that the big conflict at the end was a little weak, I really liked how things ended altogether. Diane Alberts was able to give these characters a very real and satisfying ending, and I thought that it was perfect for the characters. I definitely recommend this story and series, and I really love this whole concept. It's so great to get to see how all these characters fit together, and I think it offers readers such a unique experience. I really enjoyed this installment by Diane Alberts, and look forward to reading more from her in the future.

I have read other book by Diane Alberts and have absolutely adored them. Falling for the Groomsman was so close to that adore level but for some reason, I couldn’t quite feel like it hit the mark. Tyler was a great character; a doctor who traveled the world to help save people, someone how placed the world on his shoulders, and took the responsible road so that other around him could live life. He was smart, resourceful, possessive, and down right dirty at times; he was perfect.

*Spoilers*
I think it was Christine’s character that threw me off a bit. Granted, I felt like she had every right to ignore him after what happened in Mexico when they were younger but I think she played with getting him back for too long. There was a part in the book where they are alone, in the woods, and in that scene, I felt like Tyler really showed how much he cared for Christine (even though he didn’t say anything) and at that part, if I were her, I would have known that this is so much more than just a game now. That it is completely real and all bets are off. And she does however, this makes Christine more confused and she backs away. How could someone back away from Tyler?!

Alberts did set up a great relationship between Julie and Reed and I am excited to see how it all plays out with Tessa Bailey writing the continuation of these characters.

I didn’t really like the two main characters in this. It was super dramatic and at times they were too childish to handle and because I didn’t like them the toxicity of their relationship annoyed me so much more. She legit made him angry on purpose more than once so he would kiss her. Are they 15? Also, who takes a girls virginity against a wall outside? And who pines after a guy that does that (and then runs away) for like 8 years, and doesn’t punch him in the face the first time you see him?

He was over bearing because he had to keep everyone safe all the time, but his big brother speech came across to me, as annoying and controlling. Like, she’s already getting married, the time for those speeches has long passed. And you can’t give them types of speeches if you’re the type of person who deflowers women and abandons them lol.

I am looking forward to others in this series, since they’re by different authors, because I just think this author’s style isn’t for me.

it was good but not great. the steamy scenes were a bit boring and unrealistic. I thought the drama was very drawn out and then all got resolved in 2 seconds so a bit like whiplash. very push and pull which I'm not a fan of.
