Happy 2 am! Shoutout to my therapist for recommending this to me after I finished Verity.
I have not been this addicted to an author's catalog since The Hunger Games. And I read those in 5th grade. I'm 22.
Is it carefully written? No. Is it flawless? Hell no. Does it tell a good story? Absolutely. 5 stars from me.
I feel like Confess is Hopeless's cousin, in a way. The two have very similar tropes and vibes overall.
I will also eat up anything that paints cops in a bad light.
I think I might take a break from her books though for a little bit because they are so intense. We'll see what I read in the meantime, though. Very tired though so this review is short and to the point.

This book was a huge disappointment. I liked the first chapter, hated the rest up to around 65% of the book, tolerated it up to 90%, and liked the last few chapters. After I was done with the last chapter, I wasn't quite satisfied with how it ended.
I wasn't feeling the romance between Owen and Auburn. It happened too quickly for my taste. Even though Owen had liked her for years, Auburn didn't know that. She didn't even know him. Owen creeped me out at times. He was too intense from the moment he met Auburn properly, and Auburn didn't care.
All things considered, this book wasn't the worst book out there. It just wasn't great, or even good, for me. My favorite character was Adam and, well, he wasn't around for long. He and Owen's relationship with his father are what made this book bearable for me.

Auburn finally got her boy back and was able to start a relationship with Owen, but I felt like we didn't get to see enough of their happy ending.I wasn't feeling the romance between Owen and Auburn. Dumpster fire. Absolute garbage. This was a rage read 100%.
I Butterflying Live O.M.G.
I Confess that I devoured this book. It was 5 am and I and to force myself to stop reading and get some sleep. I needed to know how Owen & Auburn's story ended.
Like all things CoHo, I absolutely adored this story. The prologue made me tear up and I was hooked from word one. Colleen's storytelling is pure magic. She never fails to captivate me.
Buy it.
Devour it. (It's the only way to read CoHo)
Love it.

Read this in one day. Definitely five stars. I recognize the selfless love described, mainly because I saw someone close to me live it. Here's to happy endings for everyone who deserves them and lots of fates and new beginnings born from loss and endings.
This was my first Colleen Hoover book and I think it was just wonderful! Both heartbreaking and heartwarming; and I just loved the ending that tied things together. I love stories that aspire the idea of fate without straying too far away from reality. If that makes sense.
I felt from the beginning that this story was very well structured and I loved seeing some of the confessions at the beginning, my favourites being the person who pays for a stranger's meal every time they go out to eat and the parent who hides a new toy for their son to wake up and find every morning because christmas should come every day. The confessions are even more powerful and effective to know that they are true confessions from real anonymous people.
Lastly, this may just be me personally but I never get tired of seeing characters experience drunk episodes in books and the reactions and responses of the character that comes to save them haha.
