I truly wish this wasn't the final book in the series, simply because it was so perfectly constructed. I'm rarely fully satisfied when a book has such an open ending but I loved how This Vicious Cure ended. Considering how apocalyptic/dystopian this series was just the slight suggestion of a future, of hope for each surviving character seemed perfect. Across the series each character had been so well developed that you didn't need explicitly telling how they were going to explore their newfound freedom, you just knew the character so well.

How the world's technology was first created was so interesting and shocking to learn about. It made sense but still, what a reveal! Each book in the series has been full of twists and turns but none more so than this. I read it so quickly because I was needing to turn the page to see what was going to happen next.

My concerns about how This Cruel Design ended was based around Cat's character, how she was going to really play a part in the final book. Again, tech provided a solution and a clever one at that. Cat has always been such a layered, for those who have read the books you understand my slight pun, character. I'm thrilled by how her story was both truly revealed and wrapped up.

It's always somewhat difficult to review a finale of a series or even just the next book in a series for fear of spoiling anything. I adored this series and will automatically purchase anything that Emily Suvada writes in the future. A phenomenal series that needs a TV series.

Like yesterday.

Solid series. This book is probably more like four stars but the whole series is hands down five stars. I think this was my least favorite in the series just because I found the new alternating POVs to be jarring. Overall, I was satisfied with how this series wrapped up.

If you don't need the audiobook, I wouldn't recommend it. The narrator is not great and mispronounces a lot of words and is hard to understand, mumbling and awkward pauses and inconsistent voice volume. I usually listen while I'm reading the words so it was okay for me, but the times I wasn't reading the book there were things I'd have to go back and reread because I didn't understand it.

This series is so incredibly clever, a gem among Science Fiction and Dystopian that teens and adults alike can enjoy. The characters were more mature so that combined with the scientific elements makes it read older. I'm not genetics- or tech-savvy at all but I really liked those aspects of these books and it was explained well. It seems like the author really knows her stuff, so if that is one of your interests, you might have a great time geeking out! I personally loved the characters and their relationships and the plot that drove the story along. Nothing ever seemed too convenient or pointless and it was a well-crafted series. I can't wait to see what Emily Suvada puts out next.

This Vicious Cure by Emily Suvada was the final installment of the Mortal Coil series. I really enjoyed this series, and while some moments did feel repetitive, it was well worth it in the end. I think that there is a lot of drama packed into a relatively short series and the three books progress naturally. Some moments admittedly get a little bogged down in the science of the world, but I think that is to be expected with a sci-fi series. I love the concept and buzzard nature of this world, and I think if you’re a fan of YA adventure and scifi, this is the perfect fit for you. Overall an entertaining and worthwhile book and series!

It is so rare to find a trilogy that is three solid, evenly-delivered, progressive Punches To The Face. Super intense and I loved all the technology.

The first half of this book was kind of hard to get through because I was just not invested in the new perspective and did not care about the character but it really picked up for the second half and brought the action and sizzling intelligence I know and love from the first two books.
