I only want more of this. Angel smut and religious smut are a new fav genre and wow this is a great example of how well it can be done!

I removed my rating for obvious reasons. Why does this author have to be so shitty?

This did not eat the way I wanted it to eat.

The concept of bilabially accurate angel porn did a lot more for this novella than the actual storytelling and writing itself.

The storytelling wasn’t compelling, nor were the characters particularly nuanced or engaging. It really was the concept that pulled this across the line for me.

Prior to finding out the insane behaviour of the author, this was already a tentative 2 stars as I mostly just enjoyed the representation within the text — which in hindsight is deeply ironic. As a result, the author’s insane behaviour solidifies this review as a 1 star.

Freydis Moon is an author who engages in digital brownface. While Freydis claims to be biracial and Latine, recent news has come out and revealed that they are in fact a white person named Taylor Brooke who has been the recipient of previous allegations of racism.

Recommend avoiding this story and reading other stories instead!

This was an intimate and steamy novella pairing an ancient angel and a young trans man as they work to rebuild a church in the New Mexico desert. The reflections on - and use of - prayer and worship was interesting and unique. Ariel’s angel form was truly otherworldly, basically alien. I loved the transition from awe, fear and attraction into a stripped, honest sort of intimacy. So much was said without being SAID. My only complaint was that I wanted a bit more development, between the two and how Ariel’s life led him there. And the ending felt like we skipped past some important resolutions. I know it’s a shortie though - I read it in a day - so like, just a LITTLE more please

Monster romance steeped in religious imagery? A trans mmc? When I found out about Exodus 20:3 I was foaming at the mouth to read it!! This was bewitching, sensuous, and erotic in the best way. Though it’s short (only 83 pages), Exodus 20:3 packs a punch unlike anything I’ve read.
