This was entertaining, witty and their banter was so good! Girlypop was funny, and that hero was so deep but just didn’t know. Because he was roaming around trying to steal money from her so that she wouldn’t leave the town and him. The epilogue was cute too.

Note: their seggs scenes were quite explicit and graphic, was just mentioned they’re doing the deed and that’s it.

Tho still, my fav by SEP is Kiss an angel, and then Irresistible, this might be third on the list of favs (so far).

I found both Gabe and Rachel amusing and refreshing. Of course, Gabe has some serious demons, which prevent him from realizing what a good thing he's got, but both Rachel and Edward do a good job of exorcising those demons.

I found myself feeling sorry for Rachel and the town's prejudices against her. Possibly well-founded prejudices, but really hurtful ones all the same.

Kristy and Ethan were fantastic. Poor Ethan, not realizing what's been under his nose for eight years! And poor Kristy, having to put up with him!

Edward is an awesome character, cute and sweet and understandable all at the same time.

The hardworking ethics of both him and Rachel really shine out in this book, and you can imagine the sweat they've been putting into their lives.

4.5. There were a few tiny problems, but overall it warmed my heart and made me want to simultaneously cry and scream with glee! I need to slow down on reading SEP books because I don't have many left and I can't deal with not having any of her books to look forward to.

I loved this book! I have never read a book by this author before and I feel like I've been really missing out! I loved the writing, I loved the story, I loved that Gabe was the biggest asshole in the beginning (and for a good part of the book) and I loved that Rachel was one of the best heroines ever - strong, tough and smart - she was the perfect heroine. I was not expecting for this book to make me cry but it did. Little Edward <3 I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by this author!

"A warm and humorous story.” That assessment was from the L.A. Times. Sadly, I did not get the same impression.

This story abounds with so many southern cliche's I lost count. Thrust into small-town Borg mentality, we are subject to unapologetic "good ol' boy" misogyny, objectification of women, and finishing with the kind of bible banging that gives religion a bad reputation.

The characters presented as 2-dimensional puppets failing to provide any emotional substance in the telling of their backstories. And, I ceased to catch any humor in this book, if there was any.

Bottom line, Dream and Little Dream served only as a vehicle to pass the time. Dispensing a modicum of entertainment — in a cheesy ridiculous manner, that lasted for as long as it took to turn the page. This story was not my cup of tea.

So I know I said the last SEP book was my favorite, but I think this one has surpassed it. I fell in love with the characters, and really empathized with Rachel. I listened to the Audiobook and as always Anna Fields does a fantastic job of bringing SEP's characters to life.

I love that this book not only saw Cal Bonner's brothers in more detail than in Nobody's Baby but Mine, but also had two love stories - Gabe's and Ethan's. I could not put this one down and was up very late the last few nights to finish it!

I really enjoyed this book—it’s neck in neck with Nobody’s Baby But Mine, and in some ways edges it out of first place for me! Also, this is one of the few books where I really support the secondary pastor love interest. For me, they’ve gotta walk the walk and talk the talk and for both Ethan and Kristy, they did that for me.

I really liked this one! The setup: broke woman comes back to a town that hates her and falls for a rich manm was the same idea as the SEP book I read next "Ain't She Sweet." I didn't like "Ain't She Sweet" because it was all about EVERYTHING except the romance. This on the other hand, was just the right mix of information about the town and the other people in it (including past couples from SEP books) and the romance. It probably didn't hurt that I found Gabe and all his tortured pain to be incredibly amazing. And amazingly, Rachel with her little son, didn't bother me. The kid wasn't a plot moppet, which was a great. (I had just finished another book with a complete plot moppet kid and I just don't understand the need for them). Rachel, her kid and the whole plot worked really well and the whole thing was sweet, readable, realistic and of course, had a lovely HEA.
