This book was hands down the best in the series. I am absolutely certain after reading this book, that marriage of convenience is my favorite romance trope. My brain and body absolutely light up like a switchboard when the hero is calling her “my wife” before he’s ever even said “I love you.” There was so much yearning and swoon-worthy moments in this book. I literally devoured this audiobook it in 16 hours (with an 8 hour sleep in between).

This book was so hot. I loved the chemistry between these two. And Sharma did an excellent job creating this simmering attraction that was always there when they were friends. It made it so much more believable for them to go from friends > estranged > married > friends > lovers.

Trust the process and Sharma! I thought there was going to be an evil twin moment (which I would’ve docked a star for because I didn’t come to this book for that) but it all works out. Trust the process.

I really loved the very real look at how female friendships evolve as we grow into the stages of our lives. I love this trio of friends and felt their story of friends/soulmates as very relatable.

3 🌶️/5

I've liked this series enough to complete it, and this was a solid read. However, I just don't buy close knit female friendships where one of them is harboring deep resentment for their so called besties and the other two are oblivious??

I really liked some of it and then did not like some of it at all. It being plots and/or characters. I liked the LGBTQ representation. I didn’t agree with or like the way some of the characters handled truly villainous characters. I looove the idea of best friends falling in love. And frankly loved Deepak and Veera’s relationship. But some of Deepak’s and Veera’s quirks weren’t my thing. I still love this series and these characters. Just wasn’t my fave. OH I ALSO LOOOVED THE THIRD ACT CONFLICT. SO GOOD

She feel in love with a man who just saw her as a friend -- well so she thought.
He's engaged to another woman to advance his position in the family owned business - seal his appointment as the next CEO.

Then, the woman calls off the engagement, very publicly,
He decides to go rescue his friend and drunkenly marries her on a beach.
Except he realizes he wants the marriage to be real, but needs to convince her to stick around.
He has no idea that she had feelings for him.

It blows up.
They get together to figure it all out.
