This book has completely revolutionised the way I think about sleep and, with that, has genuinely changed my life. It's fascinating, a bit terrifying, and extremely comprehensive without ever being dry. I only wish I'd read it much sooner!

This honestly should be required reading for high school students as maladaptive sleeping patterns have a cumulative affect on physical health, mental health, social and relational skills, as well as occupational skills.

My husband and I have quit caffeine, track our REM and nREM as well as have stopped any phone/TV media an hour before bed. This book has quite literally changed my life.

Really great stuff! I learned a lot even though I didn't absorb it all because I listened to it at 2x speed while running and I spaced out here and there during the most scientific parts. It was great to learn more about the why behind how much sleep affects mental health. I feel like I cover the need to get more sleep in session with clients but it is usually kind of dismissed but this book makes the case for sleep very compelling so I guess I need to be more enthusiastic about it.
