Genuinely interesting though not particularly thrilling. Nevertheless absolutely essential reading. This will change your sleeping habits and possibly put you on a path to better health. Been proselytising good sleep ever since.

i picked this up hoping that getting interested in sleep from a scientific point of view would help me fix my sleep schedule, and it worked. engaging, detailed, informative, and distinctly sobering whilst still being hopeful. not quite 5 due to one or two attitudes i don't entirely agree with, but the rest of the book i an behind completely. i think the message is startlingly urgent and important, and definitely worth the read. we are robbed of sleep at every turn.

Very good, lots of information and an excellent case why we all should be getting at least eight hours of sleep. However, anxiety inducing if you’re a somebody who cannot get enough sleep through no fault of your own.

4.5, I really enjoyed reading this book because I had no idea how important sleep actually is. There were a few claims that were definitely reaches and had no scientific backing, so that is why I did not give 5 stars.
