This book has genuinely scared me into needing more sleep. I don't even remember why I just know I don't want to disappoint mr walker but more importantly myself.

Whoa! That was interesting! We sleep so much (but mostly not enough) but still there is a lack of general knowledge about sleep. Ok, sure, we now that "sleep is important", but hey, then the exams come and it is not as important. Or that party. Or that project which really needs finishing. Or...
It was shocking to learn how dangerous is driving when feeling sleepy. And impact of sleep on memory! And the myth that old people don't need as much sleep is just a myth. Fascinating stuff. Not really much of practical help, even though decent amount of tips included, more on general knowledge about different aspects of sleep.

Wow, sleep is so freakin important. I have literally changed my life after reading this. Sleep is bae...top priority. Get on board, or suffer the consequences down the road. Spoiler alert, they're not good.
informative

Interesting science, with a wide range of quoted experiments.

Can get quite preachy.

While the book is a bit heavy information wise and hence a slow read, it highlighted and important topic that know one is talking about but everyone suffers from in some form. It is sad that sleep related education is not provided in educational institutes. The author does a splendid job of providing evidence backed data to cement the need for a good 7-9 hours of daily sleep. One thing the book was lacking was chapter was summaries to recall the gist of each chapter.

I listen to the audiobook, and the author encourages me to fall as sleep while listening. So I did. This audiobook helped me fall asleep easily for over a year (I can only listen to a maximum of 5 minutes before i'm "zzz") - which is so great!

That is not to say this book is boring or anything. It's a good & informative book. I feel like this book has EVERYTHING TO KNOW about sleep (much more than what I need to know).

Key takeaway from the book: SLEEP IS VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Please sleep tight every night. It improves your quality of life in every possible way. (For more interesting details, please see each chapter).

Terrifying at times, and I skipped a few of the more unpleasant sections. However, I really enjoyed this and I feel as though I will put sleep as a priority from here on out. I liked that I did the audiobook version because this isn't exactly a book that I would just pick up, but I could force myself to listen to it in the car. It has a lot of great information and I would recommend it to anyone

Good read, very insightful. Although the Guinness book of records is mentioned too many times.
