Dit boek was een soort samenvatting (en meer) van de jarenlange therapie die ik heb gehad. Het gaat over de meest voorkomende psychische klachten zoals angst en depressie, over gedachten en gevoelens, over waarden en zingeving.

Ik mistte wel een stukje over trauma. Snap dat hier misschien niet voor gekozen is gezien dit wat zwaarder is, maar vaak wel onderliggende oorzaak heeft in mentale problematiek.

I was so excited for this and was kind of a let down. i'm starting to think that when you've read one of these type of books, you've read them all. i can see how this would be a standout to a certain person but it wasn't for me. i have, in fact, heard a lot of this stuff before. something that WAS new and profound for me - "it's not always depression" by hilary jacobs hendel.
