I found Jacinda to be a bit annoying in this book. After her star-crossed romance of book 1 leads to her doing the unimaginable, she faces the consequences of her actions, but then she does something she shouldn't, causes trouble for someone else, faces worse consequences but is given an out... it's not fair to someone else, but she takes it. I suppose that is how most teens would act, though... Her actions at the end of the book have redeemed her a bit, enough to keep me moving on to book 3.

Selfish. Selfish. Selfish.
The one word that kept on popping up in my mind as I read this book. The main character, Jacinda, was a slave to all of her whims. I hate how in the book she was portrayed as an innocent, kind and a sweet lady but her actions proved she was anything but. What frustrates me more was how she even thought that what she was doing was for the best of everyone when in truth, all her actions conspired against what she believed to be true. Her actions in this book were all FOR HERSELF - she follows her desires and urges not minding who gets hurt or who gets killed in the process. This book is just frustrating.

Definitely set up for a third book. Major cliffhanger at the end!

I wasn’t sure I would like this book. Several characters in the first book kind of got on my nerves. However, I did like this book. I don’t want to give anything away, but I fell in love with a character in the book. I want to talk to someone about what happened in this book. . . So, friends, if you read it, call me! ;o)

Review from Much Loved Books Review-Vanish

I started this book with a bit of hesitation, while I liked Firelight I wasn't too impressed with it and thought it was a bit slow. In the first chapter of Vanish I was hooked. I have read it in one sitting (which is hard as it's on my PC and hurts my eyes if I am on too long) that's how hooked I was with it, only stopping to refuel with coffee.

Without saying too much to give it away, we watch as Jacinda goes back to the pride, the last place she wants to be, and tries to blend back in with society and follow their rules to make them back off from her.

She is demoted from her job and gets assigned a new one, possibly the worst one available, and has to keep herself "meek and mild" and not cause too much upset. She has to live with her Mum and watch her as she struggles to cope with what has happened, not only to Jacinda but also Tamra.

I thought Vanish was a much better paced book with something always going on to keep my attention. The writing is more fluid and actually makes me believe I am really there and part of the action, not only with the pride hostility but also the conflicting emotions Jacinda feels about Cassian and Will, and also her damaged friendship with Azure.

This book is a must read for all fans of Sophie Jordan, I for one will be adding this to my bookshelf.

"Run away with me"

Sophie Jordan has done it again, but left with twice the bang! Vanish book two in the Firelight series did not disappoint at all! In fact it was even better then book one, which I though was honestly impossible. Sophie has put together such an amazing paranormal world, everytime I finish one of her books, all I wanna do is pick it back up and start all over.

Vanish picks up right where Firelight ended, Cassian has come to bring Jacinda and her family back to the prides after running away. Jacinda is crushed, while in hiding from the pride she fell in love with Will...but Will and her were never meant to be together from the start..Will is a hunter, and Jacinda is a Draki, exactly what he hunts, but Will doesn't like the hunt like the rest of his family, and he thinks Jacinda is beautiful Draki or not. Now she is going back to the pride, and the pride will do anything to keep her there..and out of trouble..but that wont stop Will, he will find a way to be with Jacinda, but Will isnt the only one fighting for Jacinda, Cassian is also chasing after her heart.

Vanish was amazing. I couldnt beileve how much Jacinda and Tamra both grew, even Cassian and Will I noticed a big change in them. The romance in this book has left me in a stuck, I still think I am leaning towards the romantic Will, but you can't help, but feel for Cassian, and even though it's almost for sure that Jacinda will probably be with Will in the end, I am hoping Cassian at least gets a happy ending. Sophie has put together such an amazing love triangle in this book, it is deffiently one of my favorites, both of the guys are so caring and protective of Jacinda, you can't help but fall for both of them.

To sum up Vanish, it is basically a must read book. If you havn't read the Firelight series by Sophie Jordan...you are seriously missing out Sophie is a YA author that no one will be forgetting anytime soon with her wonderful stories of love, adventure, action and mystery. Vanish will leave you up at night until the last page, dying for book three Hidden.

Random note: Seriously if I could be any character in a book I would totally wanna be Jacinda.<3

I didn't think it kept the momentum of the first book, although it was still good.
