I love getting the perspective of a parent wanting their kid to be happy but having to understand the reality of the world he’ll be in. It’s such a warm hearted read.

CW: Gossip at work about a possible gay coworker, Bullying, Fight
This volume was so good! We follow a boy named Hiroki, who is still discover who he is and what he wants to be in life. Both as his identity and exploring his future career paths. We see the story through his mom's eyes, as she supports him in his endeavors.
I cried at the end of this volume, because of the afterward! It's not my place to talk about it, though, you'll have to read it yourself to find out. There's also a great chapter discussing what you like and gender. I found that discussion very relatable and thought provoking. Why do we focus so much on what people read based on their gender? Enjoy what you like!
This series is wonderful and I highly recommend it!

No big differences between the first one and this one except the author/illustrator coming out to his/their parents before publishing volume 2 which makes it so sweet.

Review:
This was a cute second volume in this series, and while I enjoyed the first volume more, I did like seeing more growth in the characters and things happening. I absolutely love Mrs. Aoyama, she is such a loving mother who only wants the best for her kids, and I love the ways she tries to understand her son and to try and find ways to support him subtly. I'm very curious if anything will happen between Hiroki and Daigo, they are great friends and I wonder if Daigo feels any more.

My son is probabile gay'.

The way I teared up at how precious this lovely book is, it was too much! The mangaka revealed at the end of the volume that he was able to come out to his mother, and it was very heart-warming. The story itself is also cute and adorable, and explores Tomoko's determination to give her son the space and strength to come out on his own terms, whilst also dealing with casual internal homophobia from others. Don't get me wrong, it's a bright and cute slice-of-life series, but it doesn't ignore reality.
