When I first started reading this book, I was hooked. Some of the characters are people that get you to love them, and sometimes hate at the same time. Some you fall in love with, and are rooting for them. The story is griping with drama and intrigue, and I can't wait for the sequel.

Ok I am giving it a 3 for now but that is because I can't make up my mind if I liked it or now. I liked the story and like how it is written but the main characters kinda frustrated me.

I liked it enough that I will read the next book soon .

She doesn't call the cops or act like a kidnapped person. This is stupid!

"DNFed"

I really tried to like this book but I guess this book just wasn't for me.
I couldn't connect with the way Rain acted at some moments..!

She seem to take everything in stride but how can one be so casual about her kidnapping, I didn't get it.

Sorry but I had to DNF it 32 %..!

Rain grew up having a rough time. She has a health problem that caused her to grow up in solitude. All she had was her twin sister Raven and her best friend Tommy. So when she get’s taken by someone she didn't feel like she wouldn't survive the loneliness.

Dominick wants revenge and to get it he thinks kidnapping is in order. He’s powerful and tough. He grew up with his mother and his father was not around.

Will Dominick get his revenge? Will Rain survive?

I really liked the story and the characters. The only part I didn't like was Rain sometimes was missing her back bone. Wishy washy women don't do it for me. I am curious to see what happens next. I give it four stars! Off to read book two!

Identical twins Rain and Raven may look like one another, but they are different than night and day. Raven is a headstrong lawyer, engaged, and focused on her career. While Rain is more of a carefree photographer, who beats to her own drum.

Growing up Rain had a blood disorder that caused her family to keep her sheltered and overly coddled. Even though as an adult she has learned to keep her blood disorder under control, Rain still feels the tightening ropes of protection when she is with her family.

Kidnapped, Rain can't believe she was kidnapped. It's even worse when she realizes they think they took Raven. What transpires though once she meets her abductor Dominick Kane, neither see it coming.

Provocative, raw, and fierce. Dominick is a jerk, a total jerk with a capital A@*($&). He is intense, he realizes shortly after taking Rain who she is. He wants her, but is afraid to have her. He seduces, taunts, rejects, and relishes Rain. Rain is torn with the merry-go-round named Dominick, she wants to try to push the mistake he made aside and feel like the treasure only Dominick can covet, but every time she gives him a chance he tears a piece of her heart.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it is not a warm fuzzy read by any means but it is so good you can't put it down. I am anxious for the next one. I need some wine after this one.

This was my first book of Cleo’s and it won’t be the last.

Miss Taken is the first book in the Miss Taken Identity Series.

Rain and Raven Medici are identical twins, but completely opposite in character. While Raven was exposed to the outside world, Rain wasn’t, she was born with a blood disorder and denied many normal childhood experiences. Once grown up Raven becomes a lawyer at their dads firm Kane & Medici in NYC. Rain along with her only childhood friend Tommy Conte builds a very successful business as professional photographers. Rain vows never to be controlled again.

Dominick is blinded by his need for revenge. He wants his father’s share of Kane & Medici and to destroy it. He sent his men to kidnap Raven but instead they kidnapped Rain.

I love Rain she is feisty and she takes no rubbish from anyone. She is kidnapped and held against her will and still manages to give as good as she gets. I love how she also stands up to Dominick.

This book had me laughing on the edge of my seat. I felt like I experienced it all with her.

I honestly don't know how to rate this book. First let me say that although I began with high hopes, they were continuously dashed the further I got in to reading it. Rain and Raven are twins but they couldn't be further apart in personality. Somehow Rain gets mistaken for her sister and gets kidnapped. So far so good. Up until this point, I'm thinking this is going to be a great read, typos and punctuation errors aside. Someone as feisty as Rain, who make no excuse for cursing out her kidnappers should make this a great story. Then it starts a downhill slide.

The relationship between Rain and Dominick is an abusive one. You can pretty it up as much as you want by saying he loves her and she loves him, but at the end of the day he wants to control her, keep her from everyone not pre-approved by him and god forbid anyone touch her or give her a hug, he goes in to a violent fit and hurts people. His manhandling of Rain is another issue. The pattern quickly develops of him losing his temper, yelling, manhandling her both physically and intimately, she escapes, he apologizes, says a few sweet words and she hops back in to bed with him. Only to happen again a couple of weeks later. If this isn't a classic abusive relationship I don't know what is. It is obvious to me that Rain belongs with Tommy. Why is this not obvious to anyone else? I quickly lost interest in Rain as a heroine when she knowingly continues to go back into a obviously escalating abusive relationship.

Yet somehow no matter how many times I put this book down and told myself I was not going to finish it because of my disgust in the characters development, I kept picking it back up! And I guess it is because of that reason that I can't completely trash this book. I threw it down in disgust and exasperation no less than a dozen times only to pick it back up in the hopes that Rain has finally come to her senses. Only to be disappointed yet again when she forgives Dominick and continues with the relationship.

So here's my breakdown...
There are too many instances of a ? being used at the end of a statement that was obviously not a question. I mean do you really not know whether you're making a statement or asking a question? SOme serious editing needs to be done.

Character development? Oh Lord don't let me get started again.

Story development... you've been kidnapped by a stranger and you'd rather take your chances than contact your father because he may get over protective? Seriously? You've been been kidnapped, you have a cell phone and instead of calling 911 you text your best friend... again... SERIOUSLY?

However, I must give it to Ms. Scornavacca... her storytelling is exceptional. I was so riveted by her writing that I kept picking up and reading the book even though I disliked everything about it.

I preface my rating by stating that although I obviously did NOT like this particular book or the characters, I did enjoy Ms. Scornavacca's way with words and telling of a story. So I would DEFINATELY read future books by her

Rain and Raven are identical twins, but that is where the similarities end. Raven likes to be in control where she works at there dad's law firm as a lawyer, and Rain after being confined for most of her childhood is a photographer and is very good at it.

Now enter Dominick Kane.... OMG he is alpha to the max more so then most alphas in books I think he can take things to the extreme, all he wants is revenge against the people he things did him wrong. He wants his dad's share in Kane and Medici and then bring it to the ground. So he comes up with this plan to kidnap Raven, but instead he gets Rain and has no idea.

I really liked Rain but with most girls in this books I just wanted to punch her in the face sometimes, I get she didn't have an easy childhood being cooped up inside with only her family and Tommy as company, her mum taking overprotective to a whole new level. Dominick man as I said Alpha to the max total anger issues, control issues, and just issues in general.

Once Dominick realizes his mistake he is livid but they work out a compromise and things progress from there. Their relationship gave me a headache the on again off again because one of them went off the deep end and wouldn't listen to the other taking things the wrong way etc, I get this happens in relationships hell I've done this so as hubby, but shit can only take so much before you get a migraine. Rain's relationship with Tommy I understood but still found it weird how dependent she was on him even though she was with Dominick who should have being the one to take care of her if she let him.

Right from the start it takes you on a wild ride the twists and turns, ups and downs, as I said its a wild ride but well worth it I really enjoyed it the ending oh my the ending I loved it but I will warn you its a cliffhanger of sorts I cannot wait for book 2 I need book 2 I want to see what happens next and how the characters react and where the story takes us next.

I highly recommend this books to lovers of all things alpha and if you want a great story with twists and turns and things you never see coming.

I like the idea behind this book. Kidnap always leads to interesting plot development, add in the twin variable, dirty secrets, family feuds and hunky men and you’d assume you’d be on to a winner, right?
Hmmmm….
I just don’t know…
The characters are all a bit odd, not very easy to connect to at all. Firstly, Rain. Her nonchalance at being kidnapped is unbelievable, even after her upbringing. She’s 34…same age as me…again, I get maybe her upbringing stunted some growth emotionally but bloody hell, if I didn’t know better I’d assume she was early twenties. There seems to be no maturity with her at all. Her dependence on Tommy is bordering on obsessive and as for “Daddy”, sigh...she’s thirty bloody four, not four.
Domonick…talk about bi-polar, jeez! And again, there’s a certain immaturity to him that doesn’t reflect his 39 years. He’ sleezy and corrupt. Throughout the book I couldn’t get to grips with him or his agenda and at the end, I’m still not sure what his feelings truly are. He’s such a complicated man.
The writing in places is a little awkward. I feel like I’m told everything, never really shown. Apart from the one twist that causes complications with the whole revenge scenario, I didn’t find there were any great surprises in the storyline either. There are also places where I feel a little lost.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that this book follows your typical romance formula. It’s an interesting read and I am moving straight onto book 2 to hopefully get some answers. There is so much potential here but I think I feel it was a bit of a rush job.
