So far - interesting. I had no idea that the Napolitan mob scene was so heavily involved in the couture and high fashion industry when it comes to making the clothes. The violence of this re-engineered modern day mafia is like something out of the Godfather.... So far I'm interested, but it's a little dense at times so I have some other light reading to accompany it.

If you are at all interested in the Italian Mafia and it's most modern, recent "history", I highly recommend reading this book. It's translated from Italian to English, so at times the translation is a little off, but for the most part Roberto Saviano paints you very graphic pictures about the Italian Mafia. This is no "Godfather" or "Corleone family" story, but instead tells the inside story of how the mafia in Italy had it's fingers spread out worldwide. At times it might make your stomach twist and turn, but it's fascinating.

This book was alright. Not super engaging, at times it felt like there wasn't a strong narrative thread and it was kind of hard to keep all of the names straight. Felt a bit too much like random information being thrown around, particular near the middle of the book.

The first non-fiction book i read. A bit challenging at first, but once i got into the flow of the text it was really good.

I absolutely love this book, and I could not put it down. My favourite chapter is about women in the mafia. I learned so much and every single craving I had for the thrill, curiosity excitement was all satisfied, I highly recommend it!

Kind of gonzo journalism, it felt very personal. The book is an endless series of names, people killing each other, but it's nigh impossible to track who is who, what side they're on, etc. I do think that was probably the point, the Camorra never ends and it does not matter who is at the top. It's the System. But that did make me not really care or get invested because everything was pretty surface level.
