I choose not to give autobiography star ratings as I don't think one can truly judge someone else's life. Although it is specifically more of a self help/care/growth book more than an autobiography Wim Hoff did share his life story throughout the book too.
My partner has been interested and doing wims cold shower techniques for a year or so and I finally felt in a space to give it a go. I found myself to have more energy, better skin and better moods so I watched a wim Hoff documentary to learn for myself the details of the benefits.
So in saying that I'd say I probably didn't really need to read the book as it was pretty much the same as the documentary but with more of his life story and more specific breathing methods for different ailments and issues which was interesting to read.
I did find it to be quite repetitive at times but still informative and inspiring.

Powerful message I guess. After practicing the method for about a week, I had my first fever in 2 years. Coincidence? Probably. I don’t know.
The book gets quite repetitive towards the end. Just a loop of “breathe/ power within/ shower”. Could have been said in fewer pages. Nonetheless, I will implement these tactics more in my day to day life.

Very repetitive. I agree with another review that have the sources and the scientific data produced from Al the tests would be very interesting and good to have as a reference at the end.

It is your wise companion. The sacrifices you make will be rewarded. Life doesn't change, but your perception does. It's all about what you focus on. I deepened my understanding of mastering mind, biology, and potential through practicing with cold. As an avid practitioner of breathing techniques and cold showers through the Wim Hof app, I was ready for next level understanding. This book provided insights. I gained confidence to begin working with ice baths and have begun to experience what Wim says is true, for me, personally.
